Terribly, the system was tuned improperly, they installed the incorrect AC unit at first till I checked serial number and they had to switch it, they drained the AC directly outside (so the first cold day the line froze and water leaked all over the basement). Ended up switching to another HVAC company to do all the repairs on the initial install.

They were very good. They did a really nice job on time, on the quote, on everything. They did what they said they would do when they said they would do it, for the price at they said they would do it. On being responsive, we had no issues.

They did excellent work and excellent overall experience.  I only interacted with one individual and he was excellent.

On the new forced air furnace -- It was challenging to schedule an appointment with their new unit person.  However, once that appointment was scheduled, he was timely and knowledgeable about options and code requirements.  However, he gave us a quote for a more expensive unit than we needed.  I asked a bunch of questions and wound up getting a quote for about $350 less at the end of the conversation.  On the morning of the scheduled install, I got a call from the manager saying that they forgot to order the unit and couldn't install it.  He offered a small discount for the trouble.  We rescheduled the install and the installers did not show up on time for the installation -- they were more than 2 hours late for the first job of the day.  The office staff was rude and we asked to talk with the manager to figure out what the issue was.  The manager was irate at us for leaving before the crew got there, but we simply weren't able to wait any longer.  Due to the disorganization of being able to secure the unit, the inability to show up in a punctual manner to do the work, and the attitude of both the office and management, we cancelled our order and they refunded us the deposit.

We received 3 quotes and Air Inc was the most professional and friendly but didn't have the best price. I asked them to meet the lower pricing and we would have the additional sheet metal work done too. they did.
The job was complete in one day and their service agreement was a deal. 2 years included in the price.
Very please and reccomend to all!

My husband and I bought an old house that needed a new heating and air conditioning system. The heat went out on Christmas Eve and I found Air Inc. in the phone book. I couldn't believe how fast a technician arrived and fixed our system. After 5 miserable years with Petro, I was so impressed with this service, I called the owner and asked him to come give me an estimate on a new, eco-friendly system. He came fast, and was very friendly and listened to what I wanted. I had done a lot of research and told him I wanted the best eco-friendly system we could put in. There were restrictions, since the house is partly log and partly stone and is near a tiny stream and pond designated "wetlands". He gave me an estimate of $50,000 that included 2 heat pumps, 2 condensers, new ductwork, a new gas line, a water heater and a generator. Three years later, this is where we are:1. No generator could be installed because of the wetlands restriction he knew nothing about although he pretended to.2. The free gas line cost $6,000.3. The insulation he brought in was carcinogenic pink fiberglass that I had his workers remove as soon as I saw it. He swore to me it was eco-friendly while I was pointing to the KNOWN CARCINOGEN signs on the packaging.4. The $500 filters that were supposed to be changed once a year have to be changed 2 or 3 times a year. (It's the cat hair!?@)5. While hot air rises and the 2d floor is assumed to be warmer than the ground floor, the main living/dining area is often cold even in our mild winters. 6. The covers that diffuse the air delivery were removed by his workers TWO YEARS AGO to get more heat delivered.7. The unsighly open ducts remain this way because despite my many, many written requests to replace the covers, this has not been done.

The quality of their work was terrible, since their initial install just under 2 years ago they have had to come back to our house on 8 separate occasions to resolve issues with the system they installed.
I would never work with this company again and I would warn anyone in the strongest terms to find any other company out there to work with.
The issues we had -
1. We purchased a very efficient 16 Seer outdoor AC unit. They installed a less efficient 14 Seer AC unit without letting us know. (We only found out when the government refused our energy star tax credit, and when they were told about the issue they were more surprised that the government refused our credit than that they installed the wrong unit.)

2. We purchased a system with a nice fully graphical thermostat.  They installed a cheap non-graphical thermostat and claimed that there were no nice graphical ones that would work with our system. (When they were caught because of the AC issue above they managed to 'find' a thermostat that was a nice graphical unit and installed it.)

3. The humidifier we paid extra to have installed in the system was not connected. (When we purchased a thermometer with a humidity detector in it and noticed it was too low they came out to fix the issue.)

4. While fixing #3 above they connected the humidifier up incorrectly so it worked, but only while the AC was running. (They were called again.)

5. While fixing #4 above they got it working but never checked the humidifier drain hose so it froze solid and the humidifier overflowed water into the basement.

6. The AC unit stopped functioning completely and it turned out something had been wired incorrectly so the entire wiring part of the outdoor AC unit burnt to a crisp.

7. The building inspector came out and inspected the system (at our request because even though it's in the contract, Air Inc never had them come out to inspect the system.) and found several issues with the system that were not up to code.

8. When the tank ran out of oil the system could not be restarted even when the tank was filled because the system did not have enough height difference for a gravity feed system to work.

While their technician was very prompt in coming out to give us an estimate, it was a three week ordeal to get them to actually come out and do the work.  The installation man on three attempts failed to return our calls after promising to get back to us "tomorrow" to the point where we were doing most the work getting in touch with him.  I actually had to call the head office to get him to return my call.  Furthermore, after signing on, he said we could have installation by the following Thursday "at the latest" but it didn't happen until the following week.  On the day of installation the installers were 45 minutes late.

Good price, good product, lousy service.

They do a very good job.  They installed the units in the past.  I had a problem with the A/C unit later and they came out and fixed it for no charge.

The company representative can out to the house and did an energy survey based on the number of windows, how many floors in the house and the square footage of the house. Based on the information he determined the size of furnace and air conditioner unit I needed. I had did some research prior to getting the estimated and determined he ws in the ball park based on my internet research. I had taken two other bids for the work and chose this company. I also has some repair work done by them in the past and they seem fine. We set up a day for the work and they promptly arrived on time and completed the work in one day. They cleaned up the area and hauled off the old unit. They finally tested both units to see if they worked properly before they left. The two workers were courtiest and polite and answered any questions I had on operation and maintanence of the units.

Yes, they did repair it. But the bill seemed way out of whack to me, as they were only there for about 1-1/2 hours. Could the parts really have been that expensive? They left the old parts behind. So I emailed the part numbers to a friend in the commercial HVAC business who told me, and I quote directly, ''you got ripped off big-time.'' The parts cost $12 & $25. I know they need to make a profit, so let's give them a 200% profit, total $111, leaving $739 for the labor or $492 per hour. A little excessive, no? I always felt I was being ripped off by them in previous service calls but could never prove it. There was always a ''major'' problem that was at least $400 a pop. But this time I had them. So I called the company and told them the above story. There was no apology, no explanation, but I did get a $100 credit. Big deal! It was still a huge rip-off. Needless to say, I've never used them again and am happy to be able to report on this list so you won't get ripped off.
