John identified the problem and had it fixed within 25 minutes. Very impressed, and he charged an affordable fee.

Being on a well, John's first and correct thought was clogged filters. He replaced the filters and installed ss hoses which he had on the truck. Problem solved!
Given the age of the drier, John honestly recommended living with the one heat setting (which we've been doing for a few years but as long as he was here for washer.........) the cost of a new thermostat a third of the cost of a new drier.
Everything was smooth and easy from scheduling, staying in touch to paying. John is a one man shop, he does the work so there is no concern about a could care less helper showing up!!

He was having a challenge because it was hard to get the gasket around the drum and the front of the machine does not come off, but he didn't give up. He kept trying and got it on. I was so impressed and pleased. Then I told him I wanted to call him back for my garbage disposal and he asked to take a look at it. To find out it was not broken, I just didn't realize there was a safety feature on the garbage disposal. It wasn't broken at all. I haven't used it for about a year and a half thinking it was broken. I am definitely going to refer them to anyone and everyone who need their appliance repaired.

From the moment I called, I was talked to professionally.  I was asked what the problem and the model of the dryer.  John was here in a few minutes.  He took apart the dryer and found the problem.  He choose the least expensive option to fixing it, while explaining and showing me the problem.  After he finished, he cleaned the entire dryer and put everything back together again.  Overall, the service was prompt, professional, and courteous.  I have used John in the past and he has fixed the problem every time quickly and correctly.  His service cost isn't what is listed on Angie's list, but I find his services worth the cost.  I would definitely call him again.

Their service as just ok. I felt it was pricey for the amount of work performed. They did offer a good, quick service, but I paid more than I had intended. I also felt one issue was left unaddressed.

I called in the morning, and they were over within an hour. They were friendly, and did the work in 15 minutes. Their charges, however, were substantially more than the 25 dollars an hour they charged in 2006. There was a $70 service charge, and a $45 labor charge, plus tax.

Overall, I felt that both repair men were serious about their jobs, thoughtful and professional. They dressed in clean navy blue polo shirts with jeans John, especially, when removing thick handfuls of lint and dryer gunck tried to contain it without just throwing the stuff on my basement floor which is probably what I would have done. ( basement is unfinished and has concrete floors with a very stained remnant of carpet on top. John was not overly talkative to his apprentice but did quietly instruct just a little of the finer points of repairing my dryer without making a long drawn out lecture of it. I had been told on the phone what a service call would cost and I was very happy that this charge was NOT in addition to an hourly rate but rather included all the diagnostic time and effort that both of these men spent just trying to see if they could make it work properly.
