We have done siding and doors. We used Lowe's. Excellent installer, he took the time to be very careful about all the animals in the house. He made sure all of my cats didn't get out. He sealed the doorways off even though it was only about 12 degrees outside. He kept the doorway sealed off so the house didn't lose heat. Nothing comes to mind when I think about something that I disliked about them. The installation I think was around 60 dollars a door. We also purchased the door there and that cost I believe in total for the front and rear probably in the neighborhood of about 1200 or 1300 dollars. I would probably give them a 'B' plus for price if I could. For the responsiveness, the installer was great but the company itself, I had issues with getting things communicated back and forth.

Went fine!  We are comparing prices from 5 different contractors - Lowe's is one of them.

They had to come back because they didn't seal part of the countertops correctly.  However, Nick and Donna, the people we dealt with were phenominal.  They were very helpful and sincere.  They answered all of my questions for me and was very nice about everything which made the experience worth while.  I've already sent other people to them to help with their projects as well.

It seems entirely reasonable and for various reasons, we didn't actually use his project yet. The experience was great. It was fine.

I had one excellent and one terrible experience with their customer service.  The bad sales representative was on the night shift, and he was not even interested in giving me quotes.  I asked him for quote on floor tile.  He was just acting like he could not be bothered.  On the other hand, the good sales representative was really good.  He gave me a lot of really helpful information in installing glass tiles and said that he had done it for many years.  He gave me all the tips right there on the spot.

I used my gift card at LOWE'S in Bloomfield, CT. I purchased mulch and a storage tub for it.

They were absolutely excellent. They were very responsive and customer service was excellent. The gentleman that came out talked with us and gave us an estimate. The contractor that came out to install the windows was on time. He knew what he was doing and cleaned up after the work was done.

Everything went as promised.

They have very conservative and fair prices. They also provide free delivery and free take away which is wonderful. I was very satisfied with their services. They were very positive. My overall experience with them was very good.

It was easy and convenient. The costs were competitive for all items. It saved me from having tp purchase and pick up items at several different stores.

First the prices can't be beat.  Selection is (I would say) a B.  Not everything, but if it's not in the store, there's something online and they'll send it to the store.  Their contractors are for the most part excellent.  Very accommodating, professional and knowledgable.

We love Lowes and to compare it to Home Depot is ridiculous.  Home Depot is a good store if you know their stock and can find what you want amongst the miles of sloppy shelves and sometimes crazy crowded aisles.  Lowes is clean, neat and well stocked.  We go to the Buckland store and they have a greeter, which I don't really care about one way or the other, but its a positive (unless you need a help in an aisle and then it seems like wasted personnel).  When you pass an employee, they're all about the big greeting and asking, can I help you with anything?  did you find what you want?  how are you today?  

Like all other warehouse stores, sometimes there are not enough staff on the floor and the doors dept is crazy that way, at times you have to wait a half hour to get someone to help you - not because they're lazy but because they're always busy.  They need more help in some of the depts.

We bought a storm door to install ourselves.  It turned out to be a bit of a junky door (granted it didn't cost much) but the installation of it was difficult because the instructions were not at all helpful.  So we returned it.  No questions asked.  

Bottomline, we really like Lowes.  They're our "go to" store. 

ADVICE:  Do your homework.  There are good people working there but not all of them are experts.  YOu need to know a little.  So don't go there expecting to be educated.  You may be lucky that day, but you may not be.  You may get someone who knows less than you do.  So like I said, go there with some knowledge of what you're buying.  And today, with online reviews and research, it's really not that difficult to know a little.

A sales person came to the home after my initial visit to the Bloomfield store.  She was pleasant, young and quite good in presenting the product differences.  I wanted a replacement, energy efficient wood interior to stay in keeping with my traditional 1929 home. All communication went well. The store was responsive to my phone calls. The installer was good, efficient and left all in order. However, after the installation I discovered that the wrong window design had been sent. My calls to the store were responded to very well.  They gave me options to have the whole set replaced or receive a rebate on the cost of the windows. Eventually, I decided on the rebate after confirming no loss to value of home. I would judge this a good experience because I did not have to chase them down; Lowe's did the right thing!

Perfect purchase and install

I was installing three exterior doors and one storm door. The back and side doors were off the rack, and I wanted a specially ordered front door. Because it cost $65 for the delivery regardless of where I purchased the doors, I wanted to get all three doors from one location. Lowes was able to order the special front door, and they had the other doors as well. They also were able to have it painted at the factory. I appreciated the special features they offered, which is why I went with Lowes over the other suppliers I visited. The person I worked with, Jason, was very helpful as I was making my decision, and they gave me a lot of great information. I ended up purchasing locks from them as well. Their prices were in line with everyone else?s. I was very happy with them and would certainly use them again.

THEY MIGHT HAVE BEEN PRICEY, BUT CONSIDERING THE QUALITY OF WORK THAT THEY DID, IT WAS WORTH THE PRICE. THEY GOT THE JOB DONE IN A TIMELY FASHION, AND EVERYTHING LOOKS WONDERFUL.

THEY DID NOT TELL US THE TRUTH WHEN THEY TOOK THE ESTIMATE FOR THE CARPET. THE PERSON WHO PUT THE CARPET IN DID A VERY GOOD JOB. WE ARE JUST UNHAPPY ABOUT THE ESTIMATE.
