I had high hopes with this company several years ago after speaking with the owner Todd Harrington who clearly had a wealth of knowledge regarding organic lawn care. I had been doing my own all organic treatments for about 3 years, but it was time consuming and I hoped to have the experts put down the right products at the right time. Unfortunately, putting all that knowledge into a business plan to serve customers did not happen in my case over several years of using them to treat my lawn. After the first year, I needed to call them each year (even after paying in advance for the year) to remind them that I was a customer. Service treatments were forgotten, and quite frankly my lawn looked lousy, far worse than it ever did when I applied organic treatments myself. Since terminating with them in the middle of last summer, I have returned to self treating my lawn and it is much improved this spring. Given they charge 2-3 times for their organic program what a standard lawn company would charge, it was a complete waste of money for me.

I called to request a quote for fertilizing my lawn, trees and shrubs last year. I loved that it was the owner "Todd" who personally came out to meet with me and get a history of my property. He was extremely knowledgable and I have been very happy with my lawn, trees and shrubs care program (place looks amazing). The tick spraying worked great (they came 3 times last year!) and I feel much safer for my family and pets now that we use organics in our yard. I highly recommend using Harrington's Organic Land Care!

Todd arrived on time explained lawn services and several times commented on how "far out" I was . I would be charged travel time for lawn care. He took soil samples and told me it would be 2 weeks for the results. It has been 1 month and I have not heard back from him. He has my money but I have no results. Since time was important to begin Spring lawn care, I expected to hear back as promised.  I assume he is just not interested in business this "far out".

Their technician Jay is very good. He told me with the organic service it takes about three years to see results. They aren't using the heavy poisons that others use, but it increases the ecology of the soil.

Our experience with Harrington's has been a dream. From the start, they gave us a very realistic multi-year plan for our yard, sketching out how they would help our lawn detox from its dependence on nonorganic compounds. As they predicted, our annual costs have reduced from year to year as our lawn has become healthier and less dependent on our intervention. My neighbors often tell me that you wouldn't know our lawn is organic because it is the best looking lawn on the block. I say that that's how you know it's organic! Besides their expertise and professionalism, Harrington's is a fantastic company because of the quality of their people. Everyone I have worked with there--from Todd Harrington, to the very knowledgeable and helpful office staff, to the delightful people who come to service my lawn--has been great. I gave them a B for price because someone interested only in a bargain may be disappointed. But for me the quality of their work and the very helpful advice the specialists give when they visit the house make them well worth the price. I wouldn't work with anyone else.
