We used Green Machine for several years for fertilizing, liming our lawn, and grub control. They were prompt, did these services capably, and the price was good. However, in the Spring of 2015, we expressed concern about bare areas in our front lawn where we wanted to have grass. We spoke at length to a Green Machine rep. who came to our house and walked with us around the property. We were told that Fall was the time to do seeding and we should wait until then. When Green Machine came in October, they did not seed. When I called to ask why and whether they would be doing the seeding at some other point, I was told they had just dropped the ball and that it was already too late in the Fall and the earliest it could be seeded was the Spring of 2016. There was no offer of a discount to make up for the missed seeding and when I indicated we would be shopping around for Spring seeding and lawn care I was told, essentially, that I would find out that Green Machine was the cheapest. This was a disappointing end to what had been a solid relationship with Green Machine. They were fine for the limited task of applying fertilizer, etc. to our lawn, but we came away with the sense that there was no critical thinking by GM about our lawn and what it might need.
