We hired him right after Hurricane Sandy struck and we couldn't get anyone to return our calls about installing a stand-by generator. He came right over and advised us on what we needed for the size house we have. He actually saved us some money in our selection of a generator. Then I asked him to add some low voltage lights in our kitchen area, which he did and then replaced existing pot lights with low voltage -- this wasn't as easy as it sounds as the previous installation had been very badly done. He found damaged electrical cables which had been run thru the flu (if you can believe that!) and replaced them. He did some carpentry projects for me almost as soon as I asked him about them. Brian Murphy is a delightful guy, a totally straight shooter and a tireless worker. He takes care of jobs quickly and professionally and sees them thru to completion. He works well with other contractors and gives his honest opinion about whether you should do a particular kind of job (he talked me out of plastering between our antique beams -- a very good decision as it turned out). He is the kind of guy who can do anything you ask him to do, or to suggest someone who can. So far, however, we haven't asked him to do anything that he can't do. I trust him completely.
