 + -1 moreOverall Mr Cyr's craftsmanship is excellent. We are very satisfied with the job. What follows are the specifics: 1. He works absolutely by the book, getting permits and working with inspectors at various stages of the build; 2. He gave us precise cost estimates; 3. He gave us details on how he would build the deck; 4. I inspected his work at all stages. His footings were deep and well anchored on a vary steep and difficult grade. His alignments, brackets and support structures were well designed and integrated by him; 5. The wood products he purchased were of the highest quality in that class of material; 6. He is very neat. Clearing debris away every day; 7. He is a problem solver. If he ran across an unexpected issue he would discuss it with us and work through a good solution. This was a very difficult job, with a cantilevered roof, steep slope and ledge. Mr Cyr's deck is both beautiful and structurally sound. The deck will last longer than the house! Great job!
Description of Work: First, the workmanship is excellent. Mr. Cyr gave us the estimate for three types of decking materials. We chose wood and not the composite. He had to perform the following: 1. Make the design; 2. Get the town permit; 3. Replace all footings to town code; 4. Support a cantilevered roof over part of deck; 5. Remove the old deck and take away old materials; 6. Replace flashing and some rotted boards; 7. Replace entire deck, support beams, rails, steps, step landing and gate; 8. Coat deck with protective finish.
