Bruce gave us an estimate for the work. We scheduled a time for work to be done. He showed up on time and completed work over a period of a couple of weeks when weather permitted (it was December). My experience was that he does quality work and takes a great amount of pride in doing the job right. At one point I found him re-digging a hole for a drain because he thought it looked like a sloppy finish (the connector came above the level of the soil and he wanted it to go below the soil to give a neater appearance).  He co-ordinated the timing of doing the chimney work with the person who was re-building our chimney so that flashing was installed as the chimney went up. He charged slightly more than another estimate that I got, but for me, knowing that the work is quality, is well worth it. The final bill was exactly what he estimated.
