Shortly after Al gave me a very reasonable estimate, he scheduled the work. Two men efficiently and effectively did the installation with minimum disruption. Cindy was very helpful with the rebate forms required by Home Energy Solutions.

Easy dealings from first contact to job completion. Mark was also very quick to get me the paperwork I needed to file for my rebate. I found them through a recommendation from a friend and I would also pass that  recommendation along.

The salesman is the one who really gave me the best experience of everyone. His name is Eric Chabot. He was the second guy that came out and gave me an estimate. The first guy was very green. He has only been selling insulation for a year and was very big on words that not necessary on comprehension and understanding what he was actually selling. Eric comes by and he knows all about the insulation that's in my house and can tell me all the specific details about it. He's selling me on specific details on what they're putting in. It turned out that he is formerly an installer for a decade or so. He's very knowledgeable and we ended up talking for quite awhile being that I have a Master's in Energy Management. The two of us had a lot to contribute to the conversation. Regardless, there were other points, a week or so later, he came back out again to look at something and answer questions I had prior to doing work, prior to having any financial obligations. He just was willing to come by and help out. When the work was done, they were very quick about it, quicker than originally quoted. It only took them one day to do the project instead of two. There was a little bit concern about the window that got damaged. As soon as any mention was made about it, the instant response was what can we do to make it right. They were willing to work with me and in no time at all, a resolution was made. They were half the price of the other quote for twice the insulation. There was a little bit of mix-up in scheduling. They were quick to get it figured out so I wasn't upset about it but it did take them a day. They were off by a day. That's part of why they ended up putting an extended crew on it which meant the job still finished on time.

From start to finish, this was a very professional company. Kevin Richardson came highly recommended, and he could not have been any more informative and helpful.

Here are the facts of my situation. Please keep in mind that this job is still not complete, so I will update this review accordingly once the work is actually completed.

Fact #1: This company came out to start the job on September 17.
Fact #2: Upon arriving, the crew said they would not be able to finish in one day (despite my contractor telling me they confirmed this to be a 1 day job)
Fact #3: They said they would be back on Monday, September 19 to finish the job. (very reasonable)
Fact #4: They never showed up that Monday (or any day since then). The job is only 40-50% complete.
Fact #5: Both my contractor and I have both continually tried to calling the company to get them back out to complete the job. They have told us they had some equipment problems (weeks ago), but still haven't been able to come back out and finish the job.
Fact #6: We have asked repeatedly to just be put on their schedule so we know when to expect them - to no avail. The sales rep says he's not responsible for scheduling, the scheduler simply doesn't respond to calls or voicemails.

My entire attic project has now been on hold for over a month while we wait for this company to complete the job. I would not recommend using this company regardless of whether or not the quality and price are right (I can't evaluate that aspect).

UPDATE:
I have learned from US Insulation that they have not come back to complete the job because my general contractor has not paid them for other past jobs. I am happy that I was able to finally get to the bottom of what is going on here (something didn't seem right), I am just a little frustrated it took me a month of badgering to get the truth. The work is still not complete due to the ongoing dispute with my GC, but I will update this once again after we have resolved all issues. After the true reasons were brought to my attention, US Insulation has acted professionally and fair up until this point, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, both of us are losers in this situation where the GC has the money and the job isn't complete.
Response from U S Insulation Co
"The contractor they hired has not paid us for multiple other jobs leading up to this one. Unfortunately for this consumer they did not contract us directly for this job and their contractor is 100% responsible for the situation they are in. We are a very reputable company with an A rating at BBB and have a reputation which keeps our company booked all the time. We have now offered to deal with this consumer directly and will get the job done promptly and expect as all other customers we deal with, they will be extremely satisfied with our work."

I was pretty pleased. They came to blow insulation but I had another provider who was already there and they both coordinated with each other and blew the insulation. I had a problem after they blew the insulation. It wrecked my central vacuum but Mark the person who initially gave me the estimate came out and looked at it and it worked the day before and broken the day after but anyway they resolved it and its all fixed. They were very professional. Their price seemed reasonable because I never got another estimate.

All aspects of the job went well, the price was very good, performance was as scheduled and without incident. I am very satisfied.
