Kensington Auto Service Ltd

This was my first visit to Kensington Auto Service. I called the day before to see if I needed an appointment for an emissions test. The man who answered the phone was very pleasant. He said: No, just bring it in between 8 and 5. The next day, I got there around 3:40 PM. The man behind the counter was pleasant and professional. He took my registration and $20. He said: There is one car ahead of yours. At 4:00 PM the test was finished (my car passed). The technician gave my keys, registration and the test report to me, and I went on my merry way.

I had gotten an oil change at a chain garage. At that time they told me I needed to immediately replace the control arms on my car. They gave me a quote. I told them I'd think about it when what I really meant was I was going to get a second opinion from a local garage that has worked on our cars before. I immediately drove to Kensington Auto. It was about ten minutes before closing. I asked it they could possibly put my car up on a lift to tell me if I really did need to have the work done. Even though it was so close to closing time they accommodated me. Unfortunately they told me that yes I did need to do the work ASAP. The next morning, a Saturday, I had a quote from them which was $300 lower than the chain garage's quote. Two days later, Monday, the work was done. At the same time they did a courtesy 30 point maintenance inspection which I think is important because all too often we don't bother checking all the fluids, hoses, etc. It has been several months and I have not had any trouble with the work Kensington Auto did on the control arms and ball joints.

They educate me about the next thing I am going to need fixed.

They are great. They educated me on what my car will need so I was prepared when the car needed this service.
