Carpetland of New England

This service went very well. I had ordered two different style carpeting and they were able to get one of them in early. To save money, I moved furniture but they moved some of the heavier items. They did a good job and I had no complaint.

One person came out for the measurments, two people came out to install the carpet. It took about three and a half hours to install the carpet. I was indecicive about what I wanted to do for flooring but they came out and gave me different options, got me samples, and were patient as I decided on what I wanted to go with. They are very knowlegable on carpet and sales that are available. Overall it was a great experience.

Every time the service guy came, he made a point to comment that we treat him like a “real person” and he appreciated that. Recently he was talking about being in high school, so my husband got out his year book. My husband showed him a picture of him in high school. I was in my pajama’s and a long robe, no make up. He again stated that we treat him like a real person. Then he hugged me and kissed me right on the lips! I pushed him away. I was in shock so I didn't say anything right away.  I decided after several days to call the owner and talk to him about it, and he agreed to talk to him.  Well, we noticed that he didn’t install the padding properly, so the owner had to come out to look at the area to be corrected. When the owner came, I asked him about talking to the employee, and he said that it was uncomfortable, so he never did. I decided that I should call the police, so I did. Now the company won’t do business with me, and I don’t have a warranty for my new carpet.                                                   

Gary from Carpetland is quite helpful. They did miss the delivery time which was disappointing as both my wife and I travel quite a bit.

After shopping around for new carpet for the master bedroom suite of our newly purchased home, I initially chose Carpetland for the price -- they had the best prices of several stores in the area. But the experience was so positive that I went back to them without hesitation one month later for carpet for the family room. Gary gave good advice on carpet selection and the best value, and he came to the house personally to measure; if he was delayed at the store at all, he called to let me know. Both he and Neal were always responsive and friendly when I called the store for any reason. The installers showed up on time and did a great job. I am very happy with the results and will certainly go back to Carpetland when it's time to do the dining room in a few months.
