I ran out of gas twice on the Merritt Parkway, with the dashboard reading 1/4 tank full. This issue started exactly 5 days after I bought this car from a used car dealer. The dealer had told us before we bought it that they had just replaced a cracked fuel pump. We attempted to contact the dealer multiple times to get the problem fixed, but they were unwilling to even call us back. Shortly after that, the accelerator would just stop accelerating mid-drive (also on the highway most times!). This was all happening within the two months following the purchase of the car.

I called Mike because I have heard great things about him from friends, and I used to work with his wife years ago. He was able to get the car in to be looked at as soon as I could get it there. He diagnosed the car on the first day and had the part ordered, picked up, and installed by early afternoon on day 2. He was very descriptive of everything he found and worked on, and returned the junkyard part that was put in by the dealer to us so that we could file a complaint and have the proof. He warned me that the check engine light may come on again because he couldn't get a clear diagnosis on the issue with the accelerator after he put in the correct fuel pump. He didn't want to replace a whole bunch of unnecessary parts when he couldn't pinpoint the issue. He gave us the option - to go ahead with the work just in case or just see if the same issue happens again. We decided to drive it and see if the issue happened again, because he said it may well be that the car having the wrong fuel pump caused all kinds of other issues too.

Within a day or two, the check engine light came on again, but not under the same circumstances - this time it came on while the car was idling in the driveway. Mike was quickly able to diagnose the issue as needing a new seal, which didn't come with the original part he installed. This was significantly cheaper than the part that he thought may go wrong when he returned the car to us earlier in the week. He ordered the part and gave me advice on how to drive the car safely until I could return to have it installed at my convenience. I just picked it up from him on Saturday and it has been running great. It just passed Emissions testing today, which it had failed last week due to these issues. So far I am very pleased to have a car that can actually get me from one place to another!!

When we were talking, Mike also said if we were buying used cars in future to give him a call and he can recommend the good dealers in the area that have good reputations for selling decent cars instead of pieces of junk. He also does inspection on cars before buying, so we will definitely be calling him in future if we're in the market again.

I felt like I was treated as a friend or family member with great service and honest work. I would not feel safe taking my car to any other mechanic in the future. Highly recommend!!

My cars brake lights both went out at the same time so I went to Mikes and he told me to just come on in and took care of it right then and there, no appointment needed. It only took about 5 minutes and then I was on my way and haven't had a problem since.

I went in to get the two rear brake lines replaced on my 92 Lincoln Town Car. I dropped it off and two days later it was fixed and perfectly fine. Mike always does an excellent job.

I went in for a routine oil change, I brought my own oil so I got a good discount. Included in the price, Mike will go around and check other parts of the car. He checked the tire pressure, he checked the transmission fluid, and a few other little things. The service was very good and that's why I keep going back here. Mike is always friendly and always offers good advice for proper upkeep of your vehicle.
