Animal Boarding Kennels
I am 100% pleased with our overall experience!!! The thing I liked the most, that I've never experienced at any dog kennel, day care, etc. was that I got to go into the kennel area, pick out the one they would stay in and place their beds, toys, and blankets in there for them. I got to go in to get them and make sure we grabbed all their stuff when we picked-up too. I know its simple, but its a much better ease of transition than the typical "dogs on a leash, stuff in a bag" hand off at the desk...with the dogs disappearing behind and emerging from a closed door and no real knowledge of whether or not they ever got their stuff. We also did not pay for a bath but my normal kinda-smelly dogs actually smell more like a dog spa than deer poop today - they are heelers though, so should only be a matter of hours before they find something new to roll in They got to stay in a double-wide kennel with a doggie door to another, outdoor, double-wide kennel and a gate to access one of the larger play areas There were other double-wide kennels along with the single kennels, all with access to an outside kennel with fenced ceilings - one of ours is an escape artist who can climb ladders and fences so this was important. There are a few cabins as well with attached runs and a fenced play areas that would be great for more chill dogs who don't jump fences! The only issue we encountered was with the gate at the entrance. There is every indication that the gate is electric and will open automatically but it is not. They really either need to fix the gate or change the signage, but we figured it out and got it open perfectly fine.

When we picked our animals up on Sunday, the Teller Co. Sheriff arrived to evict someone who was living in the room where our dog and cat were boarded inside the house. According to the owner of T&C Kennels (a retired veterinarian), the people inside the house where our dog and cat were are Meth addicts. One young man had been evicted the day before, and a young woman was being evicted while we were there picking our animals up. The lady being evicted was screaming obscenities at the owner when we arrived. The bottom line is our animals were in the same room with meth addicts over the weekend and we have no idea how they were treated. We provided the Kennel with dog and cat food, specific amounts to be given each day. When we picked our animals up, two cans of cat food were returned to us, this meant our cat was not properly fed and had been given half of the amount of cat food necessary (she is a 6 month old kitten). Most of the dog food we provided the kennel was returned to us also.
Finally the kennel workers could not find a blanket we had provided with the cats bed.
The owner of this Kennel uses extremely poor judgement when hiring employees. We will never use this Kennel again.

When T and C Kennels was owned by Lorilynn, there wasn't a better place to take our dogs. They were well cared for, clean, and happy. The new owners are terrible. Just picked up our dogs and they smelled awful. The kennel has hired a groomer. One of our dogs cannot stand on a table for our regular groomer, so I asked this groomer if she could somehow take care of him without him being able to stand. She said no problem. When we went to pick them up today, the groomer said she didn't have a chance to groom the dogs because the one couldn't stand on the table (we TOLD her that --- Duh!). But both dogs weren't groomed. She said someone was going to be there to help later, so she could at least give them a sanitary cut. We returned later. She had butchered our one dog. I asked why shave his entire leg, and she said it had poop on it. So …… she didn't groom them during the time she had them. Because she didn't, she had a mess on her hands. She cleaned it up by shaving our pet like he had surgery or something. The other dog, who COULD stand on a table, was given a cursory cut. Neither dog was bathed. I will NEVER use this kennel again, and I recommend no one else use them. BTW, their prices are much greater than what Lorilynn used to charge.

Love the security at Town and country. My poodle has anxiety issues and she was fine when I picked her up.

Easy, friendly contact, all went as planned, very conscientious, my dog was happy. Btw, I really have no idea when this home was built, but the field is required to fill out this review, so I just made a wild guess.

We've had dogs forever... This is the best kennel we've EVER used! Our Vet recommended them. Been taking our two dogs to Town and Country Kennels for all our trips during the past several years. Even drop the dogs off for single "24-hr stays" from time to time. The owner is caring and competent to handle any situation that might come up -- so I never worry while we're gone. The dogs get love, exercise, play, and careful attention to their individual needs. We really are grateful for Town and Country's care -- they give us peace of mind when we have to leave our "furry, 4-legged children."
