"[Member Name Removed], I just want to say thank you for the review but I think this is meant for Lee's Floor Service in Castle Rock. We are in Windsor and unfortunately, do not do work in Highlands Ranch. Thanks!"

- They responded quickly to come out and give an estimate
- The final cost was very close to the estimate (there are a lot of variables involved in the material costs, so it's impossible to get it exact)
- They completed the job on time
- The completed job looks very good; there were just a few minor dings; there were also a number of nail holes that weren't filled, but they came out quickly and took care of those.
The not-so-good:
- They would only take a check for the deposit (no credit card), so I had to drive to the office to drop one off.
- There was a fair amount of dust, even with the pre-finished floors. They didn't include any masking in the original estimate (they said they don't include it for pre-finished floors), so we ended up having to mask off our kitchen and some of our windows and blinds ourselves.
- They left a lot of dust and debris in the floor vents
- The staples they used when securing the wood planks led to more than a few split planks (not visible with the finished floor, only visible during installation). I don't know if this will causing problems with creaking or popping in the future.
- When removing the existing tile, I don't know what they did (we weren't home), but it left a pretty big mess of wood splinters and dust in the unfinished part of our basement directly underneath the tiled area.
- After leaving specific instructions with them to do the cutting on the back deck, with direct access to the area being finished (due to all of our furniture being stored in the garage during the job), they still ended up cutting on the driveway. With the garage door open. They got sawdust all over all of our furniture! They apologized and attempted to clean it up, but it's flooring guys with shop vacs - we ended up having an upholstery cleaner come out to clean our couches and chairs (this is the reason for the 'C' grade in professionalism).
- They don't do baseboard finishing, which seemed odd to me. They will order the baseboards and install them, but they won't paint or stain them. I'm not sure if that's standard or not, but we ended up having to find another contractor to paint and install new baseboards after the floors were installed, before we moved the furniture back inside.
"-We do accept credit cards however not "by phone" payments for security reasons and fraud. All customers come into our office to make payments, look at flooring options, schedule work, etc. -We do offer a hang plastic option for an additional cost and this was offered and declined. We don't automatically include this cost because most of the people choosing a prefinished flooring choose to hang plastic or cover furnishings themselves and aren't pleased to see this added in. - Dust is expected in vents, on walls, on furniture, etc when installing or demo of any flooring. This is unavoidable unless plastic is hung or homeowner chooses to cover intake vents themselves. (Discussed with homeowner) -The staples used are used in all industry standard installations and will cause now future issues. -Outlined in your contract, unfinished basement areas can and will get dusty from the nailing and pounding on the floor above. Again, unavoidable. - Cutting needs to done wherever possible for electric access and convenience for the crew. On certain occasions a back deck is not always feasible. -We do re-stain and recoat baseboards whether they are new or existing and this was offered...however we do not paint baseboards. Painting is best left to a professional painter and this was advised to you. We thank you for your feedback."
"Thank you for choosing Lee's! We greatly appreciate your business and look forward to working with you again!"

After only a few months after moving into my home, the "new" bamboo flooring was cracking, gaping and boards were popping out of the floor. Several companies came to evaluate the problem; all concluded the flooring needed to be completely replaced. I received several bids, and all the prices were about the same, give or take. The representatives from Lee's Hardwood stood out from the rest, so I chose to work with them. They also explained that our low-humidity environment in Colorado made bamboo a poor choice (it's a compressed grass, not real wood), so I decided to replace the floor with prefinished oak. I visited their showroom in Windsor, as they have a number of products to choose from. Lee's is also highly rated on Angie's List, and the Better Business Bureau.
The installation team did an excellent job, from start to finish and I couldn't be happier with the results. The workers arrived on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up well after each day. The end result is even nicer than what I had imagined.
"Thank you so much for the kind words! We truly appreciate you taking the time to let us know how happy you are and we are excited to hear how much you like your new flooring! We know how stressful the process can be and with just buying a new house...SUPER stressful! We cant wait to work with you again."
"Excellent to hear! We look forward to the next project we can help you with!"

"Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We truly appreciate your business and have enjoyed working with you during this process! We understand the frustration of the carpet delay and apologize. Our normal installer (the second crew) was unavailable at the time to install so we had to use the other and he is a one man crew small business owner. It is great to hear that throughout any surprises that are unforeseen, your experience was still positive...that had a lot to do with your great attitudes towards it all as well! Looking forward to the next opportunity to work with you..ENJOY!"
"Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We greatly appreciate your time and opinion of your experience. We are also glad to hear everything is great and that you are satisfied with your flooring! Our owners are 100% committed to customer satisfaction and it is great to hear you were able to experience that! We look forward to working with you again in the future."
Renewing wood floors is a daunting process. We did have to move out of our home with the animals for a week and move furniture, empty closets, etc. It's not for the faint-hearted. But the staff at Lee's made an annoying situation bearable and the final results are worth any inconvenience.
We would absolutely recommend Lee's Hardwood Flooring and plan to use them again in the future.
"Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review! We greatly appreciate your business and are so pleased to have you as a repeat customer! We look forward to working with you again and truly hope you continue to love your experience with Lee's!"
From first to last contact with Lee?s, communication was professional and friendly. I had tons of questions about process, timing, design and product throughout the project. From day one, all my questions were answered quickly and completely. These people are experts in flooring and demonstrated their expertise at all times. I found that their price was the most competitive and as a result, I was able to add the dining room to the project. Included in the price were custom made wood floor vents. They added a beautiful finishing touch to the rooms.
Given the level of expertise, quality of work, professional and friendly demeanor and price, I have recommended Lee?s to friends and family. I still walk in and smile at the beauty of my floors.
"What a wonderful experience and we thank you for taking the time to share it! We are so glad to hear you LOVE your floors! We strive to make our customers feel exactly like this and thank you for referring friends and family!"
"Thank you (removed member name)! We greatly appreciate the kudos and even more we appreciate your business! We look forward to the next opportunity to serve you!"
"[member name removed], thank you for taking the time to write a review. We value your business and are always looking for ways to improve our customer service. Our finishers take pride in their work and please know that your complaint of their attitudes will be addressed. After reviewing your paperwork we see that you were bid for a total sand and refinish which would have ensured a total match on the flooring. You had chosen to only do certain areas and we did our best to try and match the wood, as you stated, we came out twice to make sure you knew this and twice you reviewed this and OK’d the work. As you know, the match was near impossible (the wood no longer being available in that grade after 14 years is out of our control). We also see that you were given a $350 credit (we offered to fix the baseboards ourselves or do a credit and you chose the credit) to make sure your issues were resolved in a timely fashion. In the future, we would suggest..once again…that the floor be completely sanded and finished to ensure a flawless match in color and sheen."
"Thank you for the review! We appreciate your business and are pleased to hear your experience was good! We look forward to working with you again!!"
