My car wouldn't start, stuck in the garage. Looked here on Angie's list for a reliable mechanic and found Gary. Called first thing when they opened Monday morning and he said he was backed up, but if I could get it there he could at least look at it that day. He offered a number of a tow company, said I was calling my auto club next. After 2 hours, I still had no tow from the auto club, but the company he recommended, Band L towing, made it to the house and had the car on it's way in less than 2 hours from my call. Gary called me about an hour later, said I needed a starter. And he had it ready for by 4:30 the same day. Fantastic. Price was reasonable, service was quick and I had my car back the same day.

Great service. Job done in a quick efficient manner. The owner Gary is professional. My only recommendation is for Gary to be a little more personable when dealing with his customers, however, he is still very much a professional at his craft.

They are excellent and have helped us many times in the past; they are fantastic. They may be a little more expensive but they are worth it and I will use them again in the future.

We considered them because they are right in middle of several other parts of Geneva. We were actually anticipating more price than what they charged. They were great. We called them twice before and we didn’t end up using them before as my brother’s friend did the work earlier. This time they finished the work the same day. They said they weren’t sure if they could actually diagnose it that day but they will try and they did it that day. We had it fixed by the next day. They were super fast. They were able to fix the problem and they also said that there was another problem which they would fix it so that we wouldn’t have to do an expensive repair later. They were friendly and very fast. We were very happy with them.

WOW!!!  We only have one car, so it was imperative that we get it back quickly, and they delivered not only on time, but earlier than we anticipated.  It also came in under budget!

Our vehicle began having serious problems a few days ago, and the engine was cutting out in the middle of driving.  I had called Wheat Ridge Auto before, but they actually saved us a trip in and were able to help over the phone twice before.  This was huge to us.   We found them on Angie's List with good reviews, so I took the car straight to them because of the good reviews and previous help.  While I was told they may not be able to get it looked at that same day, they did.  Additionally,  they had it fixed by the next day at an extremely affordable price.   

We have a new shop and won't be going anywhere else.  They were extremely helpful, quick to respond, and friendly.  Our experience with their performance was nothing less than stellar!

It was an excellent experience and we appreciated how quickly they called us back and the help they provided over the phone.  We were able to avoid a service call, just from their call back and suggestions they made over the phone.  We'd go to them anytime!

Close attention to detail. Asked several times if the job was to our liking.

We are picky. Small amount of asphalt noted inside of wheels. When we requested that the asphalt be cleaned off of the wheels. We received immediate attention and wheels were re cleaned to our satisfaction. Great job

I have used Gary for my car service for over 12 years. My car was dead on a Sunday, so I had it jumped, dropped it off at Gary's and put an envelope in his mailbox with my keys and a note with the description of the problem with my car. I also left 5 quarts of oil and a filter in my car and asked him to change the oil. He called back the next day to tell me my battery could last maybe a year or two more. I decided to have him install a new battery along with the other requested work. I continue to have Gary service my car because he is honest, will do only what is necessary and doesn't mind using the oil, filters etc I buy for him to use. I've brought in my car before asking him to do some work but he won't do it if it isn't time or doesn't need the work. Often, he doesn't even charge me even for looking if he can't find anything wrong.

Setting an appointment up and scheduling work was a little less formal that I've had elsewhere, but things seemed to go fine. I've had similar work done at other places and Wheat Ridge Auto prices were comparable and seemed fair. Things were done on time. I've had a bad experience at a "quick change" chain and have to say that it was really nice to have a discussion with the mechanic that actually worked on the car rather than getting a computer printer out. And I wasn't encouraged to do anything that didn't seem needed. This was my first visit and I will go back. Everyone seemd friendly, helpful, and honest.

The work was good. There was a little rattle after the belt was installed and he was very responsive to fixing that without extra charge. Easy to talk to and explains what's going on clearly. Prices were the best I've found. He was honest and would say, "This doesn't need fixing yet," to save me money, unlike many mechanics who will do what they can to earn extra. I value his honesty and reliability above all! I will definitely keep taking my car back there when it needs it.

I've used him for 20 years. Gary is very honest. If it needs to be done, he does it. If not, he doesn't.

They do a good job and their prices are very reasonable. Recently I had to take the car in. They could have charged me for a service fee even though little work was done, but they charged me nothing. That's just the kind of guy Gary is
