Avoid this company at all costs. I have had them out twice. Once for HVAC, once for furnace. Both times, they could not fix or find the issue, while other companies were able to help and remedy any issues. Very amateur group. We'll start with the furnace. My furnace was having issues short cycling, going on and off every few minutes. They said the issue was the control board. I had them replace the control board (about $800). It started happening again not more than 1.5 winters later. Control boards, for context, should last approximately 10-15 years. If anything should go wrong with my furnace at that point, it would not be the control board after replacement. Cue the start of Fall 2023; the furnace starts short cycling again. I had a second opinion come out this time. They said the incorrect control board was put in. I called Tradewinds to remedy the issue, but they decided not to take responsibility and instead told me I needed a new furnace because mine is old and "Frankenstein'd" together. I would be hard-pressed to find someone that doesn't have a furnace with different parts in it. When one thing goes wrong, you don't just replace the entire unit. My unit isn't THAT old lol. Today, a different company came out and fixed it all! Turns out we just needed the CORRECT control board put in and new limit switches installed, something Tradewinds was incapable of doing. Now to the HVAC. My HVAC wasn't cooling, and the pipes were frosting over a little. I called them out. They again told me I needed a new unit because it was "Frankenstein'd" together. This is their excuse each time. They want to up-sell on a new unit. I had another company come out for the HVAC for a second opinion as my HVAC unit is BRAND NEW. All my unit needed was the coils cleaned and lower-rated filters put in, as the higher-rated filters were restricting air flow, causing the pipes to frost over. Simple fix and it's been working for over two years with absolutely no issues. I have given them ample time to rectify the issue. Avoid. At. All. Costs. You have been warned.
