Pro-Active Sewer & Drain

I don't really ever write reviews unless there are big issues. I have been using Proactive sewer drain for years for my clients and their properties and they used to be good. New ownership? I have no idea what's going on. I just used they them for my personal home and they have been an absolute nightmare. They got the insurance pay out, since have ghosted me and won't come back to fix anything that they messed up and now I have a sinkhole in my yard. They removed my fence and then didn't put back the trim to stop rocks from rolling out. They didn't put back all the Flagstone, so I have a random piece in my yard. That was never put back. They poured the concrete and didn't remove the wooden slats in two areas. I messaged/called them multiple times, took about two months to get them back out. The wooden slats were causing water to build up on walkway that would then freeze and turn into an ice-skating rink-death trap. They put the clean out in the middle of my yard instead of somewhere that makes sense down by the sidewalk. Didn't consult me on a preference of location, just stuck it there and now there is a sinkhole in my yard because they were supposed to come back and put in new sod and fix the sprinklers and they never did. When they were installing it, I asked him to stop and put it somewhere else down by the sidewalk. He confirmed that he could have put the clean out there, and avoided, ripping up any sprinklers or sod but it was too late since they already started. I can't get them to come back and now everything in the ground is shifting and they can't tell me if that's normal or not. I was on the schedule twice last month and they just no call no showed, I keep emailing and calling and getting back on the schedule and then they just don't show up or reply to my emails. I have asked for an owner or someone to call me, maybe this review will get to the right person and someone will call me back. Help!

At the time the technician said he would record the inspection for us and we would get a copy emailed to us in a couple of days. About a week later when I hadn't gotten the email with the video I called and found out he didn't record it on accident. The manager offered to refund or come back out, which we opted for him to come back out. Unfortunately due to scheduling issues that did not happen and so we requested the refund after a couple of weeks of trying to get another time for the inspection, but we never got the refund.

Phil Gallegos, owner of Pro-Active Sewer and Drain, came to my house promptly when called and performed a camera inspection of my leach field piping. His camera became lodged in a 90° bend in the pipe, he dug a 4 foot deep hole in my yard and cut the pipe to recover his camera. The ensuing deteriorating series of events resulted in my paying another contractor $475 to repair the damage Phil made to my system and perform other service. On the day of the inspection Phil attempted to repair the cut pipe using a low pressure patch even though I told him that the system is a pressurized leach field requiring Schedule 40 fittings. I returned to the work site after a short time only to find him quickly filling the hole. He had not pressure checked his patch, so I stopped him and pressurized the system. Within seconds, water began flooding the hole, confirming that his patch failed. Phil promised to return the next day and complete the repair, leaving my septic system inoperative. The following day I talked to Phil on the telephone and he reneged on his promise to complete the repair. Instead, he offered to have one of his employees come to my location to complete he repair if I paid for him to come to my house. I declined. Phil had me contact the sewer repair company who referred me to Pro-Active Sewer and Drain for my original problem. They convinced me that they would come to my home to complete the repair as well as address the greater issue that instigated this work. A person from that third company came to my home and dug the hole down to Phil's cut pipe repair and placed a cover over the hole. They never returned, in spite of repeated requests. I engaged an additional contractor to repair the cut pipe correctly. They repaired the leach field pipe and performed an additional pipe repair for $475. When Phil billed me for his inspection service, I told him I will gladly pay him provided he reimburse me for the cost to repair the damage he made to my leach field. Phil relented and credited me the expense of his service, refusing to pay for the damage repair. He was indignant and used gutteral language on the telephone. Bottom line: Pro-Active Sewer and Drain does satisfactory work, but if something goes wrong they do not follow through on any damage repair they cause to your property.
