The first test, although the lab results were sent electronically, the inspector refused to prepare his report and send it electronically (claiming he was too busy and could not send his report electronically) -- causing a several day delay in the remediation process waiting for his hand prepared report. The second test was performed OK except he was late (past the appointment time) -- but he charged an additional $160 for next day delivery of the results. The next day, he did provide the lab results as promised but I needed to insist that he also provide me with his report the next day. When I insisted that he provide me with his report as well as the lab results as promised, he claims he went out of his way and did me a favor in order to provide me with his report the next day -- even though I paid the additional $160 for next day service. The third test was required because the second test was completed prior to the heating ducts being cleaned -- the remediation contractor's error. So the contractor agreed to pay for the third test. This was completed -- (again he was late, past the appointment time), but the MIT inspector refused to provide me with the results of the third test -- and then was disrespectful and rude when I asked him for the test results and report. He told me I would have to get them from the contractor -- because he was too busy. I do not know about the actual company of MIT, but I would not utilize them again or recommend them because of the poor service provided by the inspector they contracted with to perform the tests. He also insisted that the samples must be sent to a lab across the country to be tested. However there are good labs here in the Denver area that will provide next day results without being coerced into paying an outrageous additional fee. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED
