If I could give less stars, I would. The experience with LEI has been a disaster. They do not back their product at all. Attempting to go up the chain of command does nothing. Even then, they want to shut you up. The owner or president don't seem to care. BUYER BEWARE. They said we would be a "showcase home." So we could tell all of our friends and neighbors. I have something to say, and it isn't good. They wrote their phone numbers down incorrectly. They wrote our phone number down incorrectly. They "lost their phones," so they could not call us back. In making the estimate, she missed a large prominent, expensive window - the one immediately above the front door. Contract states "start installation on or about 8-12 weeks from the date above," we gave one-third cash deposit initial payment, the rest was due when the job was complete and we were fully satisfied. 20 weeks later, we'd heard nothing. After many calls, they finally came, but work could not be finished. Two weeks later they came back, but did not have" the appropriate supplies" and would need to come back again to complete the job. They did not clean up and left stickers and other residue on the brand new windows. 30 weeks later, LEI collections called wanting the balance paid IMMEDIATELY, and would not believe the job was not complete. They called many times. Many. 31 weeks later, we filed with the BBB and collections stopped calling. Corporate emailed wanting us to drop the BBB complaint and told us they were working on a restitution proposal that would leave us satisfied customers. 34 weeks later, the work still not complete, they did not call back. I started calling again. Corporate told us they would give us 10% back or install the window they missed. They sent a "Non-disclosure Agreement" with the wrong names, wrong address, lots of wrong. It stated we owed them the balance, but NEVER provided remedy for their failure to perform to the terms they created in the contract. It attempted to silence us from ever speaking about the problems again, AND completely negated the initial contract and warranty. We told them we would let our BBB complaint stand. 36 weeks after the contract was signed, the job was complete, and we paid cash in full. Since then, we've had warranty issues that LEI has not addressed - they were here a year ago for a scratched door, and told me they would order it and get back to me. We found evidence of shoddy work - broken trim and/or casing they did not report, rotting wood on window sills (we do not know if it was there before the windows were installed, or it has happened since). Found a hole by one of the newly installed windows that allows water to get inside the frame. Caulk is peeling up - it is excluded from the warranty. Gaps in installation. They did not inform us of anything wrong with anything during installation, and these deficiencies will be costly to fix. Since I have never heard back, I posted a review on the BBB. Corporate started emailing again, asking me to remove the review. I responded, sending it to the person who sent the email, the owner, the CEO, and the COO. No response. A week later, nothing. The person who sold us the windows made extraordinary promises about the high quality and commitment to customer satisfaction and their product in order to sell the windows - she said there was a 50 year no fault warranty on EVERYTHING - she gave examples of a rock thru a window, a broken screen - ANYTHING that went wrong, they would fix, and our contract stated they would provide the warranty when the windows were complete, but it DID say there is a "50 year in home free service on work performed" . Unfortunately, after reading the warranty on the day of installation, a lot of what we were told is not true, and buyer beware, a 50 year in home free service on work performed is not the same as the multi page warranty. Our experience is that LEI and Alside (the installer) have no intention of honoring the warranty in the same way they did not honor the initial contract. Buyer beware. Document everything. I have plenty of photos, all paperwork, and documented everything.

We recently just had new windows installed into our home by LEI, and we are beyond satisfied. Over the course of two years, we have had numerous people/companies knock on our door to offer us a free quote. We finally decided to replace our windows, and were grateful to be a “showcase” house for our surrounding neighborhood. LEI custom orders your windows and takes time to tell you how their triple pane windows stand out from their competitors. We are pleased with the final product, and would highly recommend anyone to choose LEI. After all, it was a huge investment in the safety and added value of our home. LEI has been an absolute pleasure to work with. From the initial sales call thru installation, we've experienced only friendly and professional service.
