I think the better question is what did Colorado Space Solutions do right? That would be NOTHING. After having to take off work (PTO) 4 times due to the errors that the "designer" made while having my closets installed, I received an inaccurate and hastily written email from the owner Scott Johnson please see below: From: Scott Johnson [mailto:

It's come to my attention that you still owe us $8,152.00 and that this amount has been outstanding since June. You have until the close of business on Friday of this week to pay this debt in full or I'll turn the matter over to our collections attorney and instruct him to file suit not only for the outstanding invoice amount but also for accumulated interest and any costs associated with collections. Since there is no question that you are responsible for this debt, I strongly encourage you to take care of this matter before it does damage to your credit rating and the amount involved is even more than the current outstanding balance. [email protected] I had to stop what I was doing to gather the information and notify the owner Scott Johnson that his email was incorrect. I attached all payments to him. My entire project was supposed to conclude on April 19th 2014. The project was ongoing and did not end up being completed until September 3rd 2014. An example of Colorado’s Space Solutions lack of customer service: I paid to have floor to ceiling closets only to find out while they were being installed that the “designer” never took into account the lighting fixture and they would not fit. It took 2 months to get these closet doors installed properly. The correct balance owed was $866.00. I kept asking what my credit would be because the closets and doors were now shorter. I never did receive a reply until I got the nasty email. When I had not heard from them either with a credit or a bill I assumed the remainder balance owed was credited to me for all their mistakes.I expected the $866.00 was the reimbursement for the closets I purchased not being able to be floor to ceiling. Not to mention being inconvenienced for 5 months. This was my reply to Scott Johnson the owner of Colorado Space Solutions: From: Tara Easter Sent: Monday, December 15, 2014 3:12 PM To: 'Scott Johnson' Cc: Preston Ocken (

[email protected]) Subject: RE: Past Due Invoice Importance: High Scott, That is incorrect information you have. I put a $5,000.00 deposit down with Heidi Ganser on 3/31/14 (please see attached) and paid an additional $7,000.00 in person To Preston Ocken on 7/11/14 (please see attached). I attached the original estimate which was for the amount $11,521.00. We upgraded our laundry room (please see attached) so the new cost for the laundry room would be $4,500 instead of $3,634.00. That would make the new total amount $12,387.00 instead of $11,521.00. I have also attached the email thread where I have asked Preston what I would be reimbursed for since I was charged for floor to ceiling doors and did not receive that due to Colorado Space Solutions nonstop errors. Since Preston never got back to me and was aware how many times I had to take off for work to be at my home for Colorado Space Solutions to fix their problems, I expected the $866.00 still owed to be even. This project was supposed to be done April 19th and did not conclude until September 3rd. I am surprised an owner would treat a customer who was treated the way I was with such an abrupt and inaccurate email. I would suggest in the future for you to gather facts first before you send a hastily email. I will be sending this email thread with all attachments to BBB, Houzz and Angie’s list. Tara Easter If you are still considering to use Colorado Space Solutions please feel free to contact me. I am happy to share all of my emails and horror stories with this company. Who would have thought one project could go so wrong?
