Jimmy is a true tile craftsman who pays attention to details and nuances of applicable work/job dimensions.

When James came to quote, he told us how detailed he was. Unfortunately, he was anything but. When the job was done, there were several areas missing grout. Several tile lines were crooked, and there was even one tile that wasn't properly seated. An entire row of tile next to the tub wasn't dry after waiting a week. James came back to take a look and shrugged like he didn't know what was wrong. That was a bit shocking coming from someone that had been doing tile for as long as he said he had. The real problem was that the mastic underneath hadn't dried. Instead of fixing it, he simply caulked it. A few months later, I'm dealing with broken grout and a leak because of this. On one of the last floor tiles, he used a small piece and put it sideways. The grain on that piece doesn't follow the grain on the rest of the floor. Fortunately I can put my bathroom trash can over it. It's really lazy work, and it makes no sense because there was plenty of extra tile. I could have done this kind of work myself. I was hoping to hire a professional to do a better job than I could do, but I actually got a job that was far worse than what I would have done.

Jimmy was great and I definitely recommend him! I called him on Tuesday and he was at my house on Wednesday morning (early even!) to repair some tile in my bathroom. When it was realized we had purchased the wrong grout, he made a run to Home Depot to exchange it...no extra charge! He's very knowledgeable and we'll definitely be using him again if the needs arise in the future.

Jimmy did a great job and got the work done FAST. He came over to give us an estimate on Saturday and was at our house doing the job on Wednesday. He's very knowledgeable and we'll definitely be using him again in the future.

James and his associate, Joseph, did an amazing job in my kitchen. We chose a simple, white subway tile; however, because of the design of our kitchen, it required many cuts. My husband and I are extremely pleased with how it came out! It's exactly what we wanted. James also provided tile and grout recommendations that we followed, and we are glad we did! I would definitely hire James again. He was friendly, professional and puntual.

James conduct was VERY professional. He kept to the schedule we discussed and he completed the job in the time agreed upon. I could not have been happier. James worked on the project a day and a half, and completed the work quickly. He removed all the old tile without damaging the wallboard, which saved us time and money.

Not pleased with the overall quality of tile job. The tiles are not level at all in the bathroom (a lot of shadows). The tiles joints are not even and grout is missing in a variety of spots.

James and Josh worked with us on ideas on how to transform and resurface the fireplace. The project went very well and only took 2 1/2 days to complete once started. We are very happy with the results.

Jimmy did an amazing job with all the tile work he installed in our home. We did a major renovation on all bathrooms, the kitchen, and family room. Jimmy was very punctual, always showing up to the job when he said he would be there. He did a lot of wall tile as well, which looks beautiful! His attention to detail is great. If I didn't like the way something looked, he had no problem redoing it. Also, Jimmy had incredible communication. He would always go over the pattern the tile would be installed, or suggest another idea if he didn't think it would look right. I would highly recommend using Jimmy Z's. James installed ceramic tile in our downstairs basement and did an excellent job!  He was punctual, reliable and had excellent craftsman's ship.  We felt lucky to find him!

James first arrived on his way home one Saturday to give us an estimate on our project.  He picked up on the first call and offered to stop by on his way home. He called several times to confirm he was on his way (although I gave him the wrong number) and arrived on time. He gave us some great ideas and told us he would have a quote within a couple days as we had scheduled the work later that following week. He got us the quote the next day that was way below what we had expected. After having to push our appointment back due to the counter-tops not being installed he was incredibly understanding and flexible. He did everything he could to work with us including coming in on a Saturday which he normally doesn't work. He was very punctual showing up on time and after discussing some things I left to pick up the correct bullnose for the project. I can't stress enough how big it is to trust someone enough to trust someone enough to leave them to work while you leave the house. After talking to James for a brief amount of time I could tell he was a true professional as well as someone who loved his work. He worked from about 8 am to 3 pm to complete the job of installing 50 sq feet of subway tile backsplash. He recommend tiling the windowsill as well which looked great. He had great solutions the issues he ran into as well as removing a troublesome range hood that was delaying the work. The final product looked fantastic. The grout was added then cleaned with excellent detail. I enjoyed sharing my home with James and he was even great with our new puppy who was assisting him most of the day. I would refer James to everyone I know with confidence the work will be done well. Don't hesitate to hire James, he has a great work ethic combined with the best prices. Give him a call, you won't be disappointed.   

James was great! He has good taste, provided helpful advice, was very responsive, showed up on time, and did a great job. He was really easy to work with, and has a long history of tile installation. If you need tile installed, he's your guy.

James is the ultimate in professional tiling! Do not hesitate to hire Jimmy'z Stone and Tile - he is really a master at his craft, and a heck of a nice guy too. I called James over the weekend in a bit of a panic because it had become obvious to me that the previous handyman I had originally hired was not up to the job. I was very lucky that he was available - he came out on Monday morning and got right to work. He has such and eye for detail, and was able to make many helpful suggestions regarding esthetics and pattern. We were so impressed with his work that we kept adding to the scope of the job; what started out as a request for a typical backsplash quickly evolved into wanting him to tile the entire floor-to-ceiling area. He handled us changing our original request with grace and humor - and the finished result is absolutely beautiful. We really feel that our kitchen (and bath) have been blessed with the touch of a true artisan now. Thank you James - you'll be our go-to guy for any future tiling needs. In addition, his pricing was really, really great and he never left any kind of a mess - made sure to sweep and tidy up each day.

The experience overall was excellent. I was provided a fair an honest assessment and was told up front that there was the possibility of nearby tiles being damaged when trying to cut the broken ones out. While I did have to wait a bit to get in the schedule, they were also up front about what was on their schedule. The net is they did an excellent job of setting the right expectations with me and then over-delivered. No tiles were damaged in the process and the work was of excellent quality. You can't really even tell the repair was made. On top of all of this, I felt the price was fair given the time and skill needed to do it right plus the fact it was a small job. I would definitely consider them for a full tile job and certainly any future repairs.
