Jim was wonderful to work with. He was prompt with his timing and communication. He was thorough with the inspection and great at explaining everything he was looking at. His report is also extensive and gives great insight into the results of the inspection. The results were timely and we loved that he provided pictures along with a narrative report of his findings. We would 110% work with Jim again in the future.

Very thorough and informative. Highly HIGHLY recommend for first time home buyers. Jim explains every detail in person and ends with the written report in a binder with a basic homeowner’s guidebook.

Jim was phenomenal from beginning to end. He communicates clearly setting expectations, holding high standards, and providing a very detailed client advisory document alongside a more detailed inspection report. I am not a buyer/seller. Instead, my father and I were looking to get an idea of the state of his Colorado home for future planning. In fact, I don't even live in Colorado anymore, and hired Jim from the Portland area. Despite being out-of-town, I read Jim's inspection report and was able to get a very detailed insight into what projects should be prioritized for maintaining my father's home or what might arise if it ever needs to be sold. From the electrical system, roof, heating/cooling system, and so much more, he provided a depth of insight (both from his professional experience/anecdotes and from his keen observations) that were invaluable. I called several inspectors with 5-star reviews and researched quite a bit before finding Metropolitan Home Inspections and calling Jim. One conversation with him was all it took to hire him in that first call. If we ever need an inspector again for an actual sale/purchase, I would not hesitate to hire Jim again. Highly recommend for anybody looking.
