I had brought my dog to this vet once before for a physical, saw Dr. Gillett, all was fine. Recently my dog started having digestive issues, so I brought her in there for a physical, I saw a different doctor. This doctor was very pleasant, seemed thorough. She saw nothing in the fecal exam, so did a blood test. Said she'd let me know what they found. After three weeks I hadn't heard anything (my bad, my own doctor only calls if there's a problem). and my dog's loose stool hadn't gone away, so I called to check in on the blood test results. After a pause, the woman at the front desk said she'd have a doctor call me back. I got a call back from a doctor within 15 minutes (yet another vet there) and he said that my dog had extremely low thyroid levels and was at high risk for hypothyroidism, something common for Shelties (my dog is actually a sheltie mix, they didn't' have that right in their records). He explained how this could be serious, and only another test that specifically focused on thyroid would identify a problem. When I asked if this would cause the diarrhea (the original reason I went in there), he said and quot;Oh, she has diarrhea?and quot; So. 1) No one called me back for something that could be a serious problem (hypothyroidism). I never would have heard anything if I hadn't called them. 2) The second doctor I spoke with had NO idea what I'd originally brought her in for, not sure what exactly they put in their records. 3) After leaving their office on 3/27 I noticed that she was due for her annual heart worm testand acirc;?and brvbar;in four days. Guess they thought I'd pay for yet another office visit for that test. 4) I brought her to another Vet for follow up. While in the new Vet's office and pulling paperwork for their files, I pulled Maggie's rabies certificate. Which had expired several days before. I couldn't read her tag, she chewed it, I've had to rely on the Vet's records, which were correct on records from my previous vet in MA, but were input incorrectly by Gillett Vet staff, so the receipts all said her rabies shot was due in over a year. Oh, and I'd asked the person at the front desk at Gillett Vet to give me a print out of the blood test results. She did--the first page only, which didn't include the thyroid levels. So now I have to wait for those records to transfer to the new Vet to get her thoughts on the thyroid issue.Everyone I dealt with at Gillett Vet was very pleasant. But their records are a mess, and they're really not on top of things. I don't trust them to properly take care of my dog, so I've found someone else. I definitely wouldn't recommend them.

I am still seeing them and have been very pleased with their service. It is hard to find Vet’s that truly love cats. I have seen 2 vets there and I feel that they truly cared for my cat.

We LOVE each and every vet and the techs. Everyone is so nice and is really loving towards our dog. They always work well with the dogs and try to keep them as calm as possible. None of the vets make you feel rushed, and they all answer your questions with detail. They will also fit you in for an emergency if needed.

They were wonderful with the cats despite having one very cantankerous 5 year old male who had been feral for a couple of years before we rescued him from an animal shelter.  Barley can be as loving and sweet as any critter on Earth; but, he can also be very temperamental around new people in a new situation.  They were patient and understanding of his fears.  The cleanings went beautifully.  There was no pressure to add services for which I had not asked and the pricing was as quoted.  Reception and receiving personnel were wonderful and patient with my concerns and apprehensions.

My dog was seen promptly at the 120th Ave. location.  Have only seen this vet only once. Gillett Veterinary was recommended to me by my daughter who takes her two dogs there for vet care. I will be taking my dog in again sometime this month for her annual rabies shot.

I took both of our family's cats to see the vet for a regular checkup. The cost for two animals was cheaper than I expected. Also, the staff was very friendly and attentive. On first impressions, I would consider this one of the better vet experiences I have had.

This office does a great job of being super friendly and welcoming and getting us an appointment promptly.  All the doctors I have met there have been great and are passionate about the animals.  I have never had to wait too long before being escorted into an exam room.  They treat my scaredy cat gently and offer lots of love to my friendly cat.

Have used Gillette Vet for several years with various cats. Dr. Gillette is very professional and caring. He has diagnosed various ailments of our cats and prescribed measures to control or correct the problems
