I hired Danny in May 2025 to sand and stain my wood floors. From start to finish, Danny was polite, professional and thorough. He arrived on time, worked efficiently and I had a great experience with him. I wish every contractor I worked with was like, Danny! I would recommend Geist Hardwood to anyone with a floor refinishing project. Our experience was excellent -- results were outstanding, he managed to bring a 15 year old floor and stairs back to life including parts which were down to bare wood. Very responsive, timely, communicative and fairly priced including payment only due upon satisfactory completion. I found Geist Hardwood through the Angi App, and he was very helpful! He provided us with the best quote out of 4 vendors, which was wonderful because Denver tends to come with steep pricing. We live in a condo, so he was very flexible working with us to get his equipment into the unit as well as stopping in at our front desk. He finished our floors a day early, showed up directly on time every day, and was able to vacuum the unit! Highly recommend choosing Geist for your flooring needs.

"The home owner posted and insisted that he had 700 square feet to refinish. I gave him a price over the phone and we set up a date to refinish his floors. Everything went great they loved there floors and I got paid in full. The next day he calls me and says his father measured it and only came up with 670 square feet. So I took the check back to him and he wrote me a different check for $120 less. Over a year later I get this review. I do not understand how I can get a bad review because of this."

He has more than 30 years experience and performs the refinishing work himself, which were both important criteria for our home project. Geist Hardwood also provided a very competitive quote among several bids. We are very pleased with the floor refinishing results.

Danny has 30 years of experience with floors. He was prompt to come out and give a bid and easy to schedule the job to meet my schedule. He does quality work. I wanted more gloss on my floor so he came back the next day to put another coat on, There is very little dusk with the job. I highly recommend him and will use him again.

His quote was fair in comparison to many other places which couldnâ t go below a shop minimum. He showed up right on time and had the job completed much quicker than I expected. Dan and his crew did a A+ job. They installed 1700/sf and a flight of stairs all in one day. Then he sanded and stained the floors and the stairs. Very professional and shows up when he says. I run my own flooring company and will continue to use him and his crew. Awesome guy and awesome work.

We had hardwood throughout our upstairs with half of it covered with carpet. We removed the carpet and needed our entire floor sanded and refinished. Danny did a great job on the entire refinish project. He worked with our schedule and returned an additional time to give us more stain options before starting the job. We were out of town during the completion of the project and came home to beautiful floors. His willingness to come out a second time with additional color options gave us the perfect finish. Danny did a great job on my hardwood floors and was so reasonable. I had a small water leak in my mini fridge that damaged some of the flooring two weeks after I had the entire thing redone, and he came back fixed it and did not charge me anything. I am so grateful !! The best!
