The loose wire was found and fixed. The place where the hose connects to the camper was capped. The owner asked if I wanted them to close up the camper and have it ready. I said yes that would be great. I arrived and walked around the camper to make sure it was closed properly. First of all it wasn't closed correctly. I have 1 slide out for the table and benches inside. I had to pop it back up, slide out the beds on the ends and pull out the slide on the side. It was an inconvenience but no harm done. I took my pop up camper out to a camp site with three of my children. I turned on the propane to make breakfast the next morning only to have my camper fill up with propane. I got my kids out of the camper and shut off the propane. I remembered the owner of Birco telling me they had disconnected the heater so when I removed the cover to my heater, I saw the disconnected gas line and connected it. When I called and spoke to the owner about this his only reply was ...And?? I told him I would like an apology and for him to talk to his employees so this doesn't happen again. He called back minutes later to tell me his employees didn't do it and then he put them on the phone with me. His employees got on the phone to tell me they didn't do it. I tried to tell them their boss had told me that they did take it out to find out what was wrong with the heater and they just denied ever touching it. They raised their voice over mine and when I told him not to talk to me like that he hung up on me. I'm not seeking compensation. I want to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. If I had received an apology and been told this wouldn't happen again, I would have been satisfied. The owner told me people make mistakes. I told him this was a very dangerous mistake. I'm going to take my business somewhere else. I hope this information helps.
