Thorton's Plumbing

Work done well. Darrel is thorough, does good work.

He got started and the first week was ok. But he kept doing other jobs so he was not progressing like I expected him to for all the money I paid him. Then while he was at an other job, he broke his leg. He was out for a week. So, ok, life happens, he tried to hire other people to do the job. Then he started to come back and work too and that is when problems started. He would tell me the things we was going to do and when. I'd schedule the other contractors around him. Then he would not show up or would only show up for  short time and not get everything done.  so, the project would get pushed out further and further. The other contractors would show up and not be able to get stuff done because the plumbing part wasn't on schedule. They also complained about bad and confusing communication with him. When I called him out on being so far behind and not progressing, he started yelling at me and threatening me with walking out on the job. That I paid over 5k for!!! Then he ended up apologizing and coming back a couple times. But then he exploded at me again, this time I was scared to let him back on my property. So, I hired someone else to finish the job. Two weeks later his wife called me and asked if they could come and finish... Well, no way I would ever work with him again. I lost money, but at last the project was completed, without drama and Darrel's emotional outbursts.

All inspections went flawlessly and as I stated earlier, Mr. Thornton is well known by the inspectors working for the Pike's Peak Regional Building Department. After the drywall passed inspection and I finished laying the tile in the bathroom, Mr. Thornton came out to set the toilet and finish hooking up the fixtures for the sink and the shower.

He has come out to my home a few times to service my A/ C unit, replace water heater, and also most recently service my heating system for the winter I have recommend him to others who liked him and recommend him to others as well. I have been very pleased with all expereinces.
