The first person who arrived was not certified to work on internet satellites so he had to contact his supervisor to swap jobs with a person who could do the work we had requested. He seemed to have no idea why we had requested service. I did not make the initial arrangements, my husband did that. Dish network had provided and placed the internet satellite sometime in January, and stated that they would return to place it on a mast. It took well over a month to get my husband and Dish to return to complete this job.The second person arrived about 40 minutes later with the supervisor. (I wish I could provide names but these people did not leave cards with their names thereon and I don't know how to spell the one guy's name.) I brought the lawn mower out so they would position the mast so we could mow around it. They used the mower at a guide for positioning the mast far enough from the retaining wall and to place the satellite high enough so the mower could pass below the anchoring arm. They also hauled the platform away since we no longer needed it. The men left a magnet with Dish's 24 hour service number once they finished the job, so we could contact them if necessary.It costs about $20 a month for internet with Dish but customers must have a TV satellite packet to get this price. At first my husband Jerry thought there would be no additional charge for the mast. Then he learned that he would have to either pay $99 for its installation or buy a maintenance repair add-on at $7/month and retain that service for at least 4 months. Now Jerry has to remember to either discontinue the service when the 4 months is up or continue to pay for it.

The install went ok but after a couple months we found they were not giving us what we were paying for. They have throttled our bandwidth speed. I have contacted the customer support line and they refuse to change the way we receive our services.

Satellite TV Equipment Service
I felt I was lied to by the salesman. I was told I would have a free DVR but I was not told that there is a monthly fee on the rental. He was not clear in his sales pitch about the two year contract. The television stations are off on picture and sound. When you call the technician or service representatives they are very uninformed and misleading. They are not friendly or professional either. It cost me $400 to get out of the contract with them.

The first three months were fine but their fees started going up. I have had to battle them every month about my bill going up. One woman said I need to read my contract but I never received one. They have dropped channels on us and the service has been terrible. I regret using them.
