Cold Hardy Cactus

The website provides information about various kinds of cacti and succulents.  I searched the photos for the plants I ordered and then filled out a paper copy of the order form (there's no online ordering) and mailed it in along with a check.  The plants (mainly cactus) arrived in good shape.  I planted them according to the instructions.    Most of them have done very well despite

 the less than optimal site (only about 6-7 hours of direct sunlight in the summer).  The Desert Candles in particular have thrived and produced beautiful blooms this year, a year after I planted them.  Most of the cacti that you see on sale are from warmer areas and can't survive in temperatures below 20 degrees F.  However, the cacti on sale at this site can thrive in colder climates (I'm in Tulsa, OK).  Some of the smaller cacti haven't thrived but overall, the plants have been almost maintenance free and deer-proof (a must in my yard) and have done well.  I plan to order more when I move.  Tip:  in areas with more than about 20 inches of rain a year, use a raised garden area with plenty of small gravel and sand in the base; mix sand and soil 50%/50% to plant the cactus and, if you want, cover with a layer of gravel (pea gravel, for instance) to make the area less hospitable to weeds and grass.
Plusses:  High quality, low maintenance, hardy, and attractive plants.  The proprietor obviously takes pride in his plants and provides substantial amounts of advice on the website.
Minuses:  Website navigation and the ordering process are somewhat primitive.
