Master Electrician with Electrical Contractor License. We are a full service electrical contractor with 15yrs experience in Residental, Commerical, Industrial and Agicutrual. We offer services in new and remodel construction, basement finishes, lighting upgrades, pole barn wiring and services. We also offer service calls for most electrical needs, with the ability to get materials after hours. Please see website for a full detailed list of electrical services. We are making some changes in our basement, installing a sink in the place of a washer and dryer so my father in law can have a place to make coffee and heat things in the microwave. I wanted the 220 gone completely and a GFCI plug installed for obvious safety reasons. I contacted Derek after another Angie's list provider failed to return my call for several days. I'm really glad I did! I wasn't home when the work was done but my wife was very pleased with the recommendations he make and he even had her contact me regarding a question she wasn't sure of. He was polite and courteous to my elderly father in law and completed the work quickly and efficiently. We're going to have a floor outlet installed in the living room and will definitely have Derek do the work.

He removed four existing external flood lights from two different locations on the same circuit and replaced them with two motion sensors, each with two LED flood lights. He communicated with me via email to established schedule. He had to slip the schedule once due to rain and this change was worked out with me well in advance of the date. He lowered his price for doing the second motion sensor based on the reduced effort involved. Very pleasant and professional.

our servers and Office condo wiring is great and we even have surge suppression in some of the outlets for our servers and surveillance system. The house stuff went well also !I he's prompt, courteous, and fast and can bid jobs or work on an hourly rate. Derek arrived promptly. Checked to see what the problems were, and did the repairs. It didn't take long, and the price was very reasonable compared to other electricians we have used in the past. We will definitely use Action Electric again.

I am kind of new to the area, so when i needed an electrician fast, I was nervous. I didn't have any references or experience using any electricians in the area. My experience with Derek and Action Electric was great! His professionalism was amazing, he listened to my concerns and was prompt, fast and his pricing was fair. Derek made, what I thought was a big problem into a simple fix. He was very polite and answered all of my questions. I will be calling Action Electric again for help.

From the start he was professional and did exactly what he said he was going to. He was prompt in all of his appointments. He came and did a detailed walk through before emailing me an estimate. Two of the rooms had sloped ceilings and required new wiring to the fixtures. He cleaned up after he was done and we are very pleased with the work he did. We have recommended him to other family members already!

My laundry room has a stove outlet rather than a dryer outlet, and I wanted to make sure that it was safe to use. Derek came by on a Saturday and did not charge an extra dispatch fee for the weekend appointment. I thought I would need a new outlet installed, but he checked the outlet and the breaker and told me that it would be safe to use as is. His honest assessment saved me the cost of unnecessary work, and he did not charge me for the visit. I will definitely use Action Electric for future projects.

Great. On time, good service and fair price. In August 2014 he also dropped an electrical panel into the basement for us and tied it in. On another trip he was able to work out some crazy wiring issues and fixed a broken outlet in our living room. We've had them out on 3 occasions and will continue to use them in the future.

He did a good job and was very polite and professional. My only concern was that we had an appointment and it seemed like it slipped his mind. I had to call him, however he did show up in the evening and did a good job. The price was reasonable and his work was fine.

Action Electric came out to clean up some old wiring in basement and attic. Work was performed in a very timely and efficiant manner, We were also given information about work we could do ourselves to save money. Can not say enough good things about the service we received and the price was more then fair. Would use Action Electric again for sure. Professional, punctual, and knowledgeable service!

The service was exceptional. Derek responded to my request for a quote within an hour. He was extremely accommodating with my schedule and professional during the visit. He reviewed the work requested, explained in detail what he would do to complete the work and issued a quote for the service promptly, as he committed. Derek was extremely fair with his pricing. Derek arrived to perform the work as he committed, including being very flexible with my schedule for being at the home. One issue occurred during the service and it was completely my fault. I bought an outdoor service panel, when an indoor was required. Derek recognized the issue prior to beginning the work. He drove to Lowes, purchased the correct product and installed the panel. All of this was completed without inconvenience to me. He charged me for the cost of the panel and finished his work. Action Electric is extremely professional and fair. The quality of Derek's workmanship and his follow up to ensure I was happy with the work was exceptional.
I would recommend anyone needing electrical service to get bids for the work, then call Derek. You will not be disappointed with his professionalism or his quality of workmanship.

Derek ran wiring to roof fans - having to find his way through two feet of blown in insulation. Went straight to work. Finished in good time and was able to install a light fan fixture in a bedroom. Cleaned everything up. Professional, punctual, polite. Eager to have him return for those jobs I thought of while he was here.

I was experiencing some electrical problems and needed an electrician to troubleshoot the problem for me. After looking at Angies List, I contacted Action Electric due to the good reviews. Derek Jackson (owner) answered my call on the first attempt. He committed he would come the following day, and would call me first to set up the time. The next morning at 8:00am, Derek called to say he would be there around 3:00pm. Upon arrival, Derek and his employee went straight to work! They found the problem, fixed it...all in about 1 hour. The circuit breaker box had a couple components that were bad and needed replaced. Derek is dependable, reliable, and extremely competent. He has outstanding work ethics and great customer service. The total bill for the repairs was very reasonable, and the service he provided was top notch! I recommend him with confidence. I will use his services again for any electrical needs in my home.
