Qwest blames DirecTV and DirecTV blames Qwest. But I'm out $19.95 and I'm filing a complaint about damage caused during the installation. The installer mentioned that what happened to me has happened to others.

When I moved 2 miles to my new home, I was told my DSL and home phone plan and price would not change. This turned out to be the first of many mistakes (could have been flat out lies but I will give the benefit of doubt). 4 phone calls later and many re-assurances the problem was fixed the issue was never resolved so I canceled. The cancellation took 3 more phone calls since they seem to have problems even knowing how to cancel a service. Make sure you keep your confirmation numbers!!! I don't think the left hand knows what the right hand is doing.

We don't have call waiting or caller id, so it doesn't cost very much. I haven't had any issues with them. They have done pretty well. When we first moved in we had a lot of issues with our line. A squirrel had eaten through are line, and they were very diligent in figuring that out.

I have recently got their services back and haven t received my first bill yet. I have subscribed to their home package which includes free long distance calling and caller ID, call waiting. Their services are excellent and I have so far not had any problems with them. Actually, they have been very helpful. They helped me transfer my landline from Vonage and also gave me the information to call DIRECTV to get their package deal since I was already a subscriber.

I don't use the phone that much so I just did long distance and regular service. I don't do the fancy stuff. I only pay for the long distance if I use it. They seem to be efficient. I am very happy with them. I would not change to anyone else. I would not change to a cell phone either. I prefer this phone. The rates are reasonable.

When I initially called to set up service, I told the person on the phone that I wanted the most basic service available. It took a while to get the point across that I really did just need the absolute most basic service available. I also told the rep that I did not want any of my information available or listed (such as phone number and address)...within 3 days I was getting calls from solicitors asking for me by name. When I called Qwest back to find out how my information had been made available since I had requested that it not be, I was told that they had just put me as 'unlisted', and not 'unpublished'. They changed the phone # for me, and listed me as unpublished. Kind of a hassle but, it turned out ok. Just make sure you repeat back everything you are requesting, and ask them to repeat it back to you so, that you know you're on the same page!

I find their services very annoying. If you do not document and record every minute change you attempt to make to your service, they have no record of it and do not follow through. For example, it took me three months to remove a feature from my phone after repeated requests. I was also promised a credit on a bill that never showed up. They have no complaint department and will not transfer you to a supervisor if you are upset.

The man had the personality of a brick wall. He was in such a hurry, it was obvious. They came out late. That's not even the worst part. I was quoted 26.99 for their service, signed on for 2 yrs, and just got my first bill. Of course, the rep "misquoted me" and after talking to 2 "supervisors", they told me I cant have it for that price and that there was nothing they could do about it. I can't even get out of the contract. They are lying, deceiving people. They mislead customers and support their "misinformed" employees. They took absolutely no responsibility. Now I am stuck with this worthless company for 2 years. Don't go with them. They will lie just to get you to commit. Worthless.

Service is fine, seems to be one of the cheapest. BUT, customer service is a nightmare and they're always making billing errors which make me have to deal with their horrible customer service. They backtrack on price quotes, fail to implement fixes (requiring lengthy call-backs), and generally seem to count on the customer not noticing or taking the initiative to call them on their mistakes.

It was all very confusing. I wanted to make sure I was getting the service I wanted for the price they advertised. I feel like I was lucky. I bought the modem at a local Circuit City; only 1 brand of modem is available anywhere. Qwest shipped the rest of the equipment, which took 1 week longer than they told me it would. The instructions were confusing and it took me hours to get the system working. Not a very pleasant experience, but the DSL is working fine.

Responsive service. Easy to contact, though red-tape galore when communicating. Time-consuming when having issues, confirming orders. Small fees add up and are oftentimes unmentioned before bill is issued. I would not recommend this company for anyone interested in getting any kind of phone or internet service.

It's been over a month and we still can't send email. We're giving up on them. The customer service has been terrible. We can't get the same story from any two people there we talk to and now people we've talked to before have even changed their stories (we have notes on every conversation we had with them). I'm not crazy about the other options, but who has time for this insanity? I've spent at least ten hours total on the phone with customer service, tech support and even ''escalation services.'' Not one of these people will return calls or follow through with the problem in any sort of consistent, responsible way. We're changing direction and going with high speed cable internet (which I've heard is faster anyway). The installer was very nice but left a mess and the installation could definitely look better on the house exterior.
