Overall I thought this builder did a good job. He gave us a 2 year warranty. We had many problems from plumbing to paint, from roof leaks to needing drywall replaced, from concrete cracking to replacing the whole front stoop. Doors that allowed water into the house. The deck that was sinking into the ground and needed repair because it was affecting drywall and caulk joints. The builder tried to make some repairs but took years to get some things done. We had one leak from our shower that was visited 4 times. The first some new caulk was applied. Did not fix the problem. The second time more caulk was applied. Did not fix the problem and the builder told us that was a maintenance problem for us to fix! The third time the builder's rep told us he would not bother the builder with anymore caulk problems. After another year I hired a man to come and fix the caulk. We found that over the years the water leak they refused to fix had rotted the wood of the door frame so that you could fit a baseball into the hole left by the water eating away the wood. Again I called the builder who came out ,looked at the problem area and said "You need to call a plumber. It has been 4 years since you moved in". I agreed it had been 4 years but the problem was never repaired and now we found it has affected more than just the shower. It was eating the door to the outside away! I would like to add that the builder tried to repair the front stoop by patching the porch-it did not work and the porch was still sinking(about 2' by now). Next he hired a company to come out and use "mud jacking" to fix it. It did not work and the builder recommended a concrete contractor that I could contact to HAVE THE PORCH REPLACED!! It needed to be done because the steps had cracked apart and the whole porch was still sinking. The builder said "some settling was common". We ended up paying $5000.00 for concrete repair. This builder talks a good game but leaves you with the responsibility for his errors. He did hire someone to fix the deck but we still had problems with posts that were pushing through the deck! I had to fix that as well. Steer clear of the company! I will probably end up in court regarding this mess because one of his employees did not want to bother the builder with the same problem again. If it's broken we don't fix it!!
