Thunder Ridge Contractors

This job was done for my parents, and sadly my father passed away before he could write his own review.
Estimated finishing time for entire basement - 6 weeks. It is now 7 months later and it is still not finished. Contractor was paid in full February 2015, before my father's death.
Rich started off strong, doing majority of the finishing by the first quarter of 2015, after having started in November 2014. He is the sole contractor and did the electrical, plumbing, drywall, framing, and painting. From time to time he would use his teenaged sons, but he worked primarily alone. Once he was paid in full, his appearances became sporadic, and I personally witnessed him taking other jobs while still needing to finish my parent's basement.
Rich became habitually late, did not follow up, and would disappear for days. What is remaining in my parent's basement is the shower door install, sealing the tile in the shower, adding racks to the storage closets, and numerous final inspection issues that I have had to contact another handyman to finish.
I DO NOT recommend Rich Callahan or his company Thunder Ridge Construction, to do any type of work in or around your home. He is unreliable, unprofessional, and will take your money and leave you with an incomplete job FOR MONTHS. His quoted time is grossly underestimated, and from what I understand, has multiple lawsuits against him.
Sadly, he will use his two sons and personal issues to make you feel sympathetic and accepting to his delays. If he can leave my widowed mother without a finished basement and take her money, imagine what he'll do to you. Please do not hire this contractor.
