Contracted with Best Hands Roofing for a re-roof after the hail storm on 7/28/16. As they didn't carry Workers Comp., the subbed the job to Cedarline Construction. Cedarline destroyed the D metal drip edge during the installation of the shingles. Cedarline had to remove and reinstall all the drip edge. Cedarline installed the shingles with a 2" overhang beyond the drip edge on the eaves. This overhang was contrary to the installation instructions from Owens Corning. When Cedarline removed the damaged D metal drip edge, they damaged the fascia on the eaves. This resulted in the fascia pulling away from the rafter tails resulting in the soffit coming out of the notch in the fascia and drooping down. When Best Hands sent someone out to repair one section of fascia/soffit, they did such a shoddy job, they had to come out a second time in order to do the repairs correctly. The repairs to the remaining fascia/soffit were marginal at best. Before the shingles were installed, Best Hands replaced a 6' section of fascia over the front porch. The job was done incorrectly and had to be redone. Best Hands subbed the gutters to Cedarline. They were installed incorrectly as well. The roof and gutters were replaced on December 16-18, 2016. It took about 5 months to get all the defects repaired and the shingle overhang cut back. The roof failed the first and second Pikes Peak Regional Building Dept. Inspection. I'm now waiting on the third inspection. During this project, project management was nowhere to be found. Best Hands Roofing was unaware of the problems caused by Cedarline Construction until I called and informed them of the issues.I was forced to act as the project manager as nobody from Best Hands was checking the work performed by their subcontractor. This is not how a construction project is supposed to work.

Through my home insurance company, my roof had been inspected for hail damage by a claims inspector.  There was hail damage.  Before I even called a roofing company I checked the Better Business Bureau for the BBB ratings of several roofing companies.  I decided to use the Best Hands Roofing company and John Frazier answered my call right away.  He was very helpful and explained the whole process of what and how they would do the work.  He gave me brochures of the types and colors of shingles and when I picked out a few of the shingle types, he brought to my home actual samples of those shingles so that I could see them in person.  He was very helpful in explaining the quality of the shingle and etc.  After receiving the HOA approval of the color and type of shingle that I chose, Best Hands Roofing started their work.
I am very happy with the roofing job they had done and with the replacing of the gutters also that had been damaged from the hail storms.  I will highly recommend Best Hands Roofing company to everyone.  The cleanup after the work was done was very thorough and I was happy about that as well since I own a dog.

They managed the project professionally, communicated very well, and were on site, making sure that the project was completed on time, and within budget. Thanks to the John and the crew at Best Hands. Highly recommended!
