My wife and I have dealt with this contractor for about a year now, so we have had plenty of time to consider this review. It is really a story of two companies -- one that does outstanding hardscaping work that really gets noticed, and one that ignores you when you need it and does not come through on its planned work. The really sad thing is this would have been a great review late last year, due to the beautiful curving stairway they built. But this year this company landed a large job and then would not provide any of the work needed to complete the project: 1. Reseed the grass in spring after the fall seeding: a service we had already paid for in the whole package and asked for multiple times. (Eventually we were paid back all of 10 bucks to try to cover the reseeding not getting done on a very large lawn: over 18,000 sq. ft.) 2. Apply pre-emergent weed control, since weeds were taking over the new grass that this business planted 3. Install fabric in garden for weed control 4. Plant flower beds, following the garden design plan they provided last year 5. Install driplines for the planned new trees and for the flower beds This business owner just ignored our requests, or said he would call sometime to discuss, but in the end did nothing to complete this work. Getting busy is understandable, but the owner should have at least worked with us to find someone else to complete the project, instead of ignoring our messages and simply not doing what he said he would do. We asked for a recommendation for someone else to do the work, as the owner has 37 years in the business, he just said: I do not know anyone. If we had known earlier that he could not do it, we would have lined up someone else. But by late May, all landscapers were swamped with work. It is worth mentioning that we had a great working relationship last year. We followed this companys suggestions and paid for all the work in full on the due dates. The pine tree and two spirea shrubs that they planted at the beginning of winter died, even though they were watered as instructed. We tried to get them to replace them, as they are under warranty for a year, but they could not get to it until June 23, which is right when you should not plant trees due to the stress of the summer heat. So the owner offered a refund instead, which we accepted. After asking for the money three times over six weeks, the pine tree price was refunded, but not the shrubs. If they actually get to you, they can do great hardscaping work. But once a bigger job came along, our project was forgotten.
