Very pleased with this company.

We called many companies looking for sod, and given that its early spring many companies had to special order it. We were given an estimate over the phone for $800 from every company we spoke with, The Sod Guys provided the same sod for $500. We called on a Saturday afternoon and were told they were closing soon. My husband said he would race over and they told him they would wait for him to come pick it up. When we arrived we saw that we werent able to move both pallets of sod because of the weight on our truck. The company then offered to wait for us to go home, unload the truck and come back to pick up the second pallet. Their customer service was outstanding! We will never look anywhere else for our sod needs and we recommend them to everyone.

Matt was quick with his email response. He gave options and other sites to look up more information. We will decide in the spring what direction to follow.

The service was great! They installed sod for us in our front yard after we removed rock. We have used them twice now, and plan to use them again next year when we do more work in our backyard. The guys we spoke to on the phone were great! Everyone was timely and professional! Highly recommend them!

They showed up on time, removed the old sod, mixed in a good one foot thick of compost/dirt/etc., and then installed the new sod. He told me they had just cut the new sod from the farm that morning. Over 3 months later, we easily have the best looking grass on the block - thick, green, etc. I have to mow it about every 3-4 days which I don't mind because I like mowing anyway. I would definitely recommend the Sod Guy.

Fantastic. Their prices are unbeatable. I couldn't find anyone close to matching them. They did a wonderful job. Sod delivered late morning and workers showed up in the afternoon to install. No problems. Thanks.

There were some scheduling hiccups but once the work began it was finished quickly and professionally. I am writing this review almost 1 year later and the lawn looks great! The grass is greener and thicker than anyone else on the block. While it was pricey, I can't argue with the results. I would use them again.

Very happy with them. They arrived on time and got right to work. Everything looked great when they left and they cleaned up after themselves. They had good attention to detail, leveled the yard and cut the sod cleanly. A couple months later, the grass looks great! No weeds and it is very healthy (except where my dogs have been)!I'm happy with the customer service as well. It was easy to schedule. I was able to pay with my credit card. And there were no surprise costs. The price I was quoted was the price I paid.I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

They did a great job at that time, showed up on time, very good, looked nice when they got down, so I would rate them pretty well. The price ended up more than the Big Deal was it was really good and the job was great when they were done.

The SOD guys provide very good customer service. They were very helpful over the phone and did a good job. I had been dealing with them over the phone for quite a few months as I was trying to get a sprinkler system installed and kept having to get that service delayed. They were very accommodating to the wait.  It was a good 6 months of talking with them before I had the work done. Then, I had problems with my sprinkler system that needed to be repaired and they had a sister company come out and fix it for me, which was very reasonably priced as well.

On time, on schedule and on budget. 
My only issue would be is that I purchased the 50.00 Angie's deal, and it wasn't applied to my purchase.

Our did was delivered right on time at 9:30am and the 3 man crew arrived shortly after to install. They tilled and leveled our yard and added a fresh layer of soil before laying the sod. 800 sq ft of sod installed for $890.00. The guys were very professional and the work they preformed was top notch and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out great. I would like to give them an "A" all the way down. They worked out fine; the only thing is that I only needed a small area less than 140 square feet, so it was a small job. They charged me other than the big deal purchase because I needed more sod than $25 worth and it all worked out great. They came, they were quick, they were fast, they laid it down and then they left.

They did a great job. Detail oriented and cleaned up after they left. The grass was good as well. It's taking root and is still green. We're very pleased. Price was right as well considering it was for our entire back yard.

Great job.  On time.  On budget.  Great sod.

They arrived about an hour later than expected, but the operator assured me they could finish my job that day. Sure enough. They were polite, fast, efficient, professional and did a beautiful job. I sincerely hope I don't have to call them again because I've been on previously long, drawn-out sod adventure, but I highly recommend them to anyone that needs sod.

The team at The Sod Guy were top notch.  From the office staff to the sod layers, all were professional.  The crew arrived as scheduled and performed the work in a flawless manner.  All areas were cleaned afterwards and the sod has taken very well.  Even after just a couple weeks, it hard to find sod seams and it looks like an established lawn that has been in place for a long period of time.  I would highly recommend them!

We called and got a price for sod we needed for our yard, which was cheaper than buying it in town at one of the big box stores, and the rolls were bigger.  We drove out to the shop and arrived only about a minute before closing time, but they still helped us very patiently.  Everyone was very nice and gave us specific directions on how to care for the new sod.  We followed the directions and within just a few days, our sod had taken very nicely and is a very nice green color.  It looks very healthy - in fact, I wish the whole yard looked like it!  They also loaded our truck with compost so that we could lay the sod ourselves (oh my aching back!).  I would definitely buy sod from them again in the future.

Punctual.
We booked the Sod Guy about 2 weeks from scheduled. On the scheduled week, it was pouring rain and they can't cut the sod. They called us as they may be not be able to come on the scheduled date, Friday Sept 28. I told them that we are in a tight schedule because we need to work on walkways on Saturday and we want to make sure that their wheel barrow or rototiller equipment won't ruin our edging for walkways.
They gave us an option to have someone come to rototil the area on Friday afternoon and someone will come to lay the sod the next morning or they can come first thing Sat morning and work on it including rototil and laying the sod.
We decided to go with the second option.
The crew came about 1 hr late, but they worked really fast. I appreciate they work around our schedule.

Called these guys on a Friday afternoon and had 1500 sp feet of sod in my yard on Saturday afternoon.  Sod was beautiful, almost no waste at all.  Prices were very good too, much better than some of the other big names.  Highly recommend these guys.

Very professional office staff; were there to answer questions and willing to work around my schedule.  They delivered and installed 2100 SF of sod, and two weeks later it looks great.  They had enough workers to get the sod installed in one morning.  The workers were friendly, I even gave them a tip.

FYI:  The price I paid for the sod, delivery, and installation would have been the price for the sod only at Home Depot.  I noticed their website isn't listed here, it's www.thesodguy.com
