Richlynn Construction and Remodeling

I recently had my bathroom renovated and I couldnâ t be more pleased. The Team was incredibly fast without cutting any corners. They keep the worksite clean the entire process leaving no mess behind, which made the experience hassle-free. Their honestly stood out. The work was precise every tiles and the fixture was installed perfectly. I highly recommend them.

Richlynn completely finished our basement in seven weeks. They used quality master craftsmen to make everything look nice, and matched the finishes and trim to our main floor. They corrected any missteps along the way, and made modifications as our plans evolved. We are quite pleased and would recommend Richlynn to anyone needing construction work.

After meeting many contractors (think about 10) Richlynn Construction was the only one I felt had the confidence and skillset to accomplish our vision. Rich (the owner) is a charismatic guy, but in a good way as to where you feel comfortable allowing him to tear apart your house and put it back better. Rich was also able to keep the entire project within our budget. At the end we actually saved a few thousand thanks to Rich. Rich said we should expect a 4 month turn around for a full basement finish: with a full bath, full sized bedroom with a walk in closet and a theater. Upstairs: a shower remodel, expansion of our master closet, to redesign our kitchen completely, change out 81 lights from piss yellow to daylight, and add a romantic fireplace in our master. All that in 4 months... so we went with him. I will say, we started in December, when Rich goes to AZ (Dec-April) escape the cold, we were a bit hesitant, but it all felt right. Communication from Rich is always great, he responds quickly and timely, communication throughout the project was what we needed most and Rich delivered. Any hiccups that occurred, even from afar Rich was able to easily handle without causing any delays. The basement team, flawless work. They came in time and did what they were supposed to do without any issues. They had a complete understanding of what we wanted during our 1st meeting. The guys that did our entire 1st and 2nd floors, just wow.. Jose and Ruben, these guys are artists. They alone did everything else but the basement... in 3 months everything was completed, they had a team come in and do a post construction cleanup. When the house was turned over, we were completely satisfied in our vision and Rich made it come to life.

This was a multiple bathroom remodel to include a powder room, Jack & Jill bath, maser bath as well as a laundry room. All new cabinets, flooring, wall tile, lighting fixtures, free standing tub and a glass panel shower inclosure were installed. New back splashes and paint wrapped everything up. All work was performed in a timely manner and the crew was very good about cleaning the work areas up each afternoon prior to leaving. Everyone that we saw day in and day out, weâ re professional and very skilled, as well as helpful in answering all,questions, we would highly recommend!

Rich and his team totally crushed our basement remodel. They gave me a great estimate, and final price didnâ t change. His team was on one time, diligent, and finished on time. Having worked with other contractors, this was the best experience Iâ ve ever had. Canâ t wait to hire them again to remodel the upstairs.

Jose and Rubin working under Rich and Alec the general contractor were always prompt at remodeling in my basement. They were very diligent, worked with details and communicated very well with me and my wife. They finished the project ahead of schedule. Rich the general contractor is very good communicator and always answered my many phone calls in time. He is very cordial and funny quite often. I recommend this company for any remodeling and property improvements you may have.

Overall, good communication and the work was completed right on schedule based on the timeframe given during the estimate. We will not hesitate to use them again for future projects!

DISHONEST, ARROGANT, AND LAZY. Unfortunately, we received a very disappointing experience with Richlynn Construction and its owner, Rich, during the recent basement project that we had hired him for. Despite the promising start to the project, with sub-contractors showing up to the property and initial communications with Rich, things quickly turned for the worse when we made our first lump sum payment and Rich disappeared without any notice. This was the beginning of several instances of dishonest behavior that we experienced from him throughout the project. We were left in a difficult position when his sub-contractors showed up to the property, but none of them knew what needed to be done. In fact, the sub-contractors continually interrupted our workdays to ask where the outlets and lights were going to be installed, what the plumbing layout would be, and in one instance ask US to pick up supplies, all this despite having already discussed this with Rich. After more than two weeks of being a no-show, Rich finally contacted us with only cryptic, one-word texts. He used the excuse of Covid for his absence, and we foolishly gave him a second chance, which turned out to be a HUGE mistake. Issues continued to arise, and we discovered that Rich would be out of town for over two months straight to snowbird in Arizona. He did not mention he would be having an extended absence before we hired him and he had no plan in place for project management. During Richs absence, there was ZERO project oversight, and we had to manage the sub-contractors ourselves. Quality of work became a major concern, with the drywallers installing square corners when we had requested round bullnose, and the baseboard trim was of terrible quality requiring multiple sections to be redone, and multiple doors being the wrong size and needing replacement. Even when we asked Rich to explain an outrageous quote he had given us for a section of the bathroom, he refused to provide any explanation and became defensive. When we confronted him about his prolonged absence, he took no ownership of the situation and stated that his apprentice/assistant/errand boy, Cory, would stop by. However, Cory only visited once during the two-plus months that Rich was away to drop off tile. Rich failed a total of 9 inspections by the county. Over the last three-plus months of the project, Rich only showed up twice and had minimal presence on group texts or phone calls. In an attempt to justify his absence, Rich engaged in baseless and fabricated allegations, falsely asserting that we engaged in harassment, foul language, and abuse towards the contractors and would no longer be present at the property. In addition, he falsely claimed we were not letting him into the basement for inspections. Furthermore, following yet another unsuccessful inspection, Rich resorted to coercive measures by issuing a direct ultimatum: the termination of the building permit would be executed unless we remitted the final payment prior to the projects completion. This flagrant violation of our contractual agreement was not an isolated incident but rather a recurrent pattern of behavior. Consequently, we exercised our right to withhold payment until such time as the contractual obligations were met. This was a major disappointment for us as customers and showed a lack of integrity on Richs end. We highly advise against hiring Richlynn Construction and Rich as your contractor, as our experience with them was very unsatisfactory, unprofessional, and dishonest. Richlynn Construction completed a kitchen remodel and a multitude of other smaller projects at our newly purchased condo in Boulder (originally constructed in the 1970's). The owner, Rich Thompson, and his team masterfully managed the permitting process, provided innovative solutions to unexpected challenges, and delivered outstanding results on time and within the expected budget. I would use the firm again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend them.
