Our staff of experienced, highly qualified veterinarians, certified veterinary technicians and receptionists is committed to always doing what is best for the patient with skill and compassion, whether that means we provide the care or refer to specialty or critical care services that provide more extensive services. We recognize that our clients are integral elements of their pets' health care team so we emphasize client education for both wellness and management of illness and injury. We place great value on listening to our clients' concerns and observations and on careful observation of our patients to learn what they have to tell us. We understand that these are economically challenging times for many pet owners. We will always recommend the best option for your pet's care and will always be sensitive to your concerns if, for any reason the best option is simply not feasible for you.

Our slightly overweight and elderly cat began to have bad breath problems. This cat could clear a room. We should have addressed this sooner but........... We scheduled an appointment with Dr Hess and found out that most of Newton's teeth were either bad or very bad. Dr. Hess removed most of his teeth and sent him home with some pain killers and reassurance that he would be fine. Dr. Hess was very professional and very caring about Newton. Today his breath is pleasant and even with no teeth to speak of he remains slightly overweight. I certainly recommend Pine Grove and Dr. Hess

Our cat needed some dental work done. It turned out to very extensive dental work; all but one tooth. Everything went very well. Dr. Hess is a wonderful vet and very attentive to our concerns, as is Wendy and all of the staff. I would highly recommend Pine Grove to anyone.

The staff was welcoming and loving towards my cats. Both cats were dropped off at 7:30 am and picked up at 5 pm. After we got home, both cats were groggy from the anesthesia. Both cats ate. The following 2-3 days, I noticed the cat that did not have the extraction wasn't eating. She wouldn't eat hard or wet food. I resorted to boiling chicken for her. She could barely eat tiny pieces of chicken without gagging. I took her back to the vet and was told that her trachea appeared irritated and sore which was most likely from the tube that was inserted in her throat during her cleaning. I was instructed to puree the chicken. Both cats were able to eat the chicken puree and are doing great now. Given that both of my cats have had many dental cleanings without issue, this incident is somewhat concerning. However, the staff was open and seemed well trained. I would use them again asking that they pay special attention when inserting the tube into her throat.

THIS IS A GREAT VET CLINIC. YOU'RE NOT JUST ANOTHER DOG OR CAT HERE, THEY REALLY LOVE YOUR PET. DR. HESS IS VERY THOROUGH AND KNOWLEDGEABLE AND DOES NOT OVER REACT TO THINGS. HE IS A CONSERVATIVE CARE GIVER.
