The brush roll on my vacuum cleaner would not turn on carpet, although it would turn if the machine was lifted up so there was no resistance.  I had already replaced both the belt and brush roll and belt, which did not fix the problem.  I was debating whether or not to repair it or buy a new one.  I found Pat's on Angie's List and took the cleaner out there. They told me someone would call me back later that day (Friday) to let me know if it could be repaired or not.  Monday afternoon, I called and was told he was waiting for a part but thought that it could be repaired.  He would call me on Tuesday morning and let me know for sure.  I called back on Wednesday, it had been repaired and has been working great ever since.

I rated C for professionalism because they did not call me with updates or to tell me the repair was complete, even though they had promised to do so.  I also was not given an estimate before the work was completed.

A new vacuum cleaner of this model would have cost $150 - 200, as long as it continues to work for a while (they said it should last for several more years) I saved some money by going this route. 

It was a simple repair. The belt was broken on my whole house vacuum roller brush. About one minute after I entered the store the owner had diagnosed the problem. Three minutes later he had replaced the belt with a new one and reassembled the unit. I paid the bill for the belt and the service; $19.72 which seemed fair to me. Five minutes after entering the store I was on my way home. Fast, professional and courteous service!

WHEN I CALLED TO FIND OUT STORE HOURS PAT ANSWERED WITH A SMILE IN HIS VOICE; I WAS IMMEDIATELY IMPRESSED. I DROPPED OFF MY VACUUM CLEANER AND I DIDN'T HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY PARTS. PAT SAID NO PROBLEM, HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. LESS THAN 45 MINUTES LATER PAT CALLED TO LET ME KNOW THE REPAIR WAS FINISHED. HE WAS EXTREMELY CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RETAIL STORE AND REPAIR SERVICE.
