We have a 1969 tri-level and needed to add a master bathroom and walk-in closet, as well as give the home more curb appeal. As one of the older houses in the area with custom houses on both sides, we knew we weren't going to keep up with the Jones but, heck, we couldn't even see them to know which direction to run. My husband and I had some pretty developed ideas on what we wanted (turn existing master bedroom into WIC and master bath and extend house out 18 feet for the new master bedroom and new 2nd bedroom) and Greg respected these and enhanced the project with his inputs and design sense. He was always available by phone, willing to work with the general contractor, had great ideas, excellent in returning emails, answering questions and making suggestions. We weren't convinced at the outset that we even needed an architect but working with Greg has us convinced we will never do a project without one. Worth every dollar spent on his excellent service. Prelim drawings were gone over again and again, he totally understood and was always patient, and construction drawings were delivered on time. We were going to put the upper floor extension on pillars with a storage area underneath but Greg had great reasons to enclose the area below into a basement room and we are SO glad we did. Enger Architecture supported us, inspired us and reassured us during this difficult and sometime overwhelming process (first major remodel that we have done). Thanks Greg!!
Description of Work: Put addition on old tri-level: existing house did not have a master bath nor adequate closet space in the master bedroom. Needed architect to generate plans for our brainstorming and then submission of Construction Documents to Douglas County Building Department.
