This is a husband/wife duo who have decided to reinvent themselves as painters and advertise as professional painting services. To start, here are the positives. Andy is very nice and seems as if he wants to do a good job. English speaking so there was no communication barrier. Now on to the services they performed. We hired Eckles to do a COMPLETE interior paint job on a 1970's home that we completely remodeled on the inside. We got paint. We did not get what we paid for. I was told that due to the type of texture and age of the house (lead paint was possible) that they would need to prime everything; an additional cost. No problem, we have a little one so we wanted to be sure to seal the old paint. Well, now that paint is chipping in areas, I'm not sure they primed anything. We were covering old avocado green and brown paint and in some areas you can see the green or brown bleeding thru the white. Also, they seem to be incapable of clean lines. During the touch up (which was extensive) they had to "fix" almost every line where color met trim, etc. and in cases where you can't "see" it (tops of higher trim, etc") it's horrible. They constantly blamed the texture. I blame their lack of commitment to take their time and do a nice job. Basically, if the tape didn't leave a clean line, which it almost never does with any kind of texture, then the lines were awful. I also paid extra to have the tops of our brand new doors painted; something I was told is not standard, and as can be guessed, it wasn't done. Although they were super friendly and personable at the start, as the job went on, their attitudes got worse and worse until Lisa and I actually had words. Unprofessional to say the least. Whenever, time or workmanship was brought into question, we met with resistance and combativeness, mainly from Lisa. I could go on and on but to sum up our experience, it was the worst facet of our large scale remodel. This husband and wife duo are NOT on a professional level when it comes to painting. They charge extra for everything and then blatantly don't deliver. Save your sanity and hire real professionals.
