Electrical Service
Lousy: original bid from contractor was $2,000 and they said this would probably be on the high end. Contractor had time to review layout of existing kitchen/dining room and was briefed by general contractor as to what we wanted. Examples of poor workmenship: contractor installed lighting next to a hole that needed finish ceiling work, we had to have someone undo fixture installation and finish sheet rock work, they used old GFI outlet in newly constructed Island even after they had purchased and billed us for new one to match the one they had already installed. We had to have some else install new GFI so it would match the one already installed. They left circuit box open in gargage. No one would of known it was there if we had not inspected it. Several wall switches were recessed so deep after they covered them the were rendered almost useless and had to be raised by some one else at our additional expense. We never Knew when they were coming to finish work. First bill sent in 12/14/13 was for $876.93 , we thought that was the final bill then on 1/12/14 we recieved a second bill for $1,981.86 dated 12/17/13. This really was the first bill. The total cost amounted to a 25% over run. I asked for a reason for the over-run and all they said they needed more labor costs. We were left a box of fixtures/wire some of which could have been returned but instead were just left with us.n
