We are a destination nursery, with over 12,000 square feet of greenhouse space, as well as a full service landscape firm. We offer gardening, custom container gardens, bedding plants, perennials, herbs, vegetable and hanging baskets. New in 2012 are combination gardens, which include all plant materials, design specs, compost and mulch. Our landscaping division will design, install and maintain your commercial or residential property. Our stonework is unsurpassed in beauty and detail. Fast forward to summer of 2013. Looking for a specific plant, I called Dwyer Greens and asked about the availability of the plant. I was told that they had it in stock so I drove down to purchase. When I got there, found out that they did not have the specific plant that I was looking for. I was then told that what they had was in fact the same plant. When I asked and quot;if it's the same plant why is it called something elseand quot; the individual in the greenhouse replied and quot;are you going to buy the f**** plants or notand quot;. I left without purchasing the and quot;same but differentand quot; plants. I went home and researched on the internet and found out that they were not the same plant. I confirmed this information with several other greenhouses. Same family, not the same plant.
The plants at the greenhouse are of good quality but are expensive. I have consistently found the same plants for approximately1/3 to 1/2 the cost at similar local greenhouses (not big box stores).
"Unfortunately, there are projects where not everything goes well or as planned. The landscaping business is difficult because of all of the variables that surround one's success. Some challenges are weather, animals, soils, and then there are inherited problems from previous landscapers or homeowners. Explaining these difficulties effectively can be challenging and not everyone understands or receives this information correctly. We certainly strive to make each client's experience a positive one. Great trees. Work was done at scheduled time. Great workers...very professional and friendly.
The plant materials are of a very good quality and do well without exception.
Staff who work at my home have always been very conscientious and responsive to my needs.
Sometimes they are a bit late, but usually call and let me know.
