SHADES OF AMBER

This is by far the worst experience I have had in customer service and professionalism in a store. I had purchased a couple of cans of paint and wax here before, not really interacting with the women who run this store, other than to buy my paint from them. I returned a couple of weeks ago to purchase more paint to paint my kitchen, buying around 300.00 dollars worth of paint and their very expensive brushes. Mistake number one! Mistake number two, buying the paint without checking to see what their return policy is on unopened paint. I opened two of the four cans I had purchased for my kitchen and mixed them per their instructions. When I painted a part of my cabinets to check the color, I decided that it was a color I didn't like and decided to return the unopened cans and exchange them for a lighter color. I took the unopened cans in the store and was told that they didn't accept unopened cans of paint because they can't be sure of where people store it. I assured them that I had kept the cans in my kitchen, not out in the garage and also that they were never opened. The women took the cans and said that she had to check them to make sure of their consistency. When she returned, she accused me of not only opening the cans but that one of the cans of paint had an inferior consistency than they like in their paint. Since I had never opened the cans and had kept them in my kitchen, I can only conclude that they are the ones who are selling the inferior paint. I don't lie and I don't appreciate being told I am. I walked out with my cans of paint and will order what ever I need off of the internet. Warning, if you decide to purchase paint from this store, be aware that they have a miserable customer service and forget returning any of their paint for what ever reason. Please ask them to check their paint before you buy it for inferior quality, they evidently sold it to me. You can always order off of the internet and I encourage you to do so.
