I wish I would have been an Angie's list subscriber back when I was shopping for gutter covers.  They did all the work "upside down" from the roof, and basically ripped everything off from there...including the flashing/drip edge under the shingles which they didn't re-apply on the back.These guys screwed up the install and "fixed" issues by squirting a tube of silicone caulk on the roof to stop a leak.  After the second call for service the "inspector" wrote there is no problem with the gutters any leaks are caused by the roof and are not Gutter Helmets responsibility.  Seems strange since absolutley no leaks existed prior to the gutter install and the shingles were 2yr old Elk Brand 30 year shingles.  Also the leaks were at the gutters NOT the roof itself.These guys want your money but don't want to provide any kind of quality follow up for customer care.  Don't trust the slick advertising, late night infomercial BS, and friendly representative that comes out to give estimates.  Once the checks are cashed they are gone.I wish I would have written this review sooner to help others, but I'd blocked out the experience.  The mailer I received yesterday reminded me of this whole fiasco.

The process took too long from review to installation: nearly three months. They installed the system the first time with what seemed to be inexperienced installers and had to come back out to unistall/reinstall the system. The responsiveness from Gutter Helmet was the worst I have had with any type of service industry to-date. Although we filed many complaints to them, they did nothing to rectify the situation. The product may be good, but the company in Colorado Springs definitely needs to do something with customer service, timing and installation.

This job was a winter job and also was done in conjunction with the roofers who were putting on a new metal roof. No problems until I called for service with regard to several downspouts in the summer of 2009. No one returned my call. Spent the winter of 2009 dealing with problems due to icicles and the resulting ice formed on the sidewalks underneath. Called again in Nov. 2010. Called again 2 weeks later and finally a service man came to the house. Waiting now to get the issue resolved with heater cables. More expense. I must say that for a $14,000 job, I was hoping for a more prompt return phone call. Not happy. But the product promised to keep the pine needles out of the gutters and they certainly do that.
