ACE Construction & Exteriors

We hired ACE for the exterior work after the Waldo canyon fire. The sales manager, Robert, helped us to negotiate to get settlement with the insurance company, so we hired them to do the actual work. The project was a disaster from beginning to the end. We were promised to be done with stucoo and roof work in 4 to 5 weeks. It took 5 months finish the project, and ACE had no control over what their subcontractors do. There was not supervision and control. We had to take time from our jobs and had to supervise the workers.
Their stucco subcontractor (Jackson Homes which subcontracted to Golden Touch stucco) was a disaster.  ACE would say that stucco work would resume on certain date (due to winter weather, we had to start and restart many times). 50% of the time, the stucco workers will not show up. We were not happy with the quality of the stucco work, and wanted them to fix things. According to them, everything was fine and we were complaining about nothing. One day we noticed that they redid the stucco brown coat. Then we found out later that they failed the stucco inspection by the regional building department, so they had no choice but to fix them.  
We have nothing good to say about Will (the foreman) of Jackson Homes. He was totally rude and all he did was demand to get paid. We have nothing good to say about stucco subcontractor, Hector, either.
They seem to do a lot of roof work, but I suppose they do not know much about tile roofs. Their roofer had to redo the batten of the whole roof because they spaced them incorrectly.  The roofer in charge was nice about redoing his mistake on the roof.
The project took so long and everything went bad and it was the talk of the neighborhood. Within the time frame of our exterior project, a whole new house started and went up almost to the point to finishing. 
We do not recommend this company to anyone. They did submit a better priced bid, but it totally does not worth some saving of the money to go through this much pain.
