WASTE MANAGEMENT

Because I am moving I wanted a dumpster to use for clean-up. After getting nowhere on Waste Management's website I called their local office in Montrose and spoke with Stephanie Warner. We agreed a dumpster would be delivered the next day. The following morning I received an e-mail saying that they couldn't get me a dumpster because they had "written off" an account which they claimed I was delinquent on. I had never done any business with Waste Management in my entire life. I called Ms. Warner. She was extremely rude to me claiming that I had already “wasted hours of her time”. I did once have a 6-month agreement for trash collection from a company which Waste Management later bought out. This agreement was specifically for 6-months and paid in full in advance because I only live in the area during the winter. The agreement terminated prior to the purchase of the company I had an agreement with, by Waste Management. I eventually was able to obtain a phone number from Ms. Warner for their office in Denver, but this was after she threatened me that they would want my social security number amongst other things. I attempted to call this office only to receive the message "we are experiencing a greater than usual number of calls...". I tried a few more times with no better results. I understand people make mistakes, but the rudeness expressed to me by Stephanie Warner was inexcusable. The inability for me to access the appropriate personnel to rectify the situation is also inexcusable. I called another trash collection business, ostensibly a "mom and pop" business and was treated very well, and not only that but also received a much better price, with fewer hassles.
