Enter Scoggins Construction LLC. Joe provided a rough estimate (which was on the low end of a total of four I had obtained myself) based on an hourly wage of $26.00 per hour. Although $26.00 an hour may seem like a lot for one guy and a well worn set of tools, he was well worth the money. In two days, he had ripped off, repaired, and replaced the side of the roof that was leaking (his labor for this part of the project was less than I had paid any of the other three contractors just to repair the leak). During the entire process he returned my calls promptly, was polite, offered options and advice when relevant, respectful (showed up at 8am on weekdays and quit at 5pm so as not to disturb my neighbors), and best of all knowledgeable about his trade. Although he was not as specific as some of the other contractors I had talked to at the beginning of this endeavor about the total cost of the project, I am so very glad that we decided to employ his services. In the end, we paid thousands less than our neighbors to have our roof replaced and the quality of service was top notch. We hope to utilize his services again in the future to replace our well worn deck!
