Keenan installed an air-source heat pump system in our new home in 2017. It ran OK when temps were moderate, but couldn't keep up when temps dropped below freezing. Several promises were made to remedy the situation, but they have now quit responding at all, in spite of numerous phone calls and emails. Although I initially felt they were good for their word, that now appears not to be the case. Avoid.

Their plumber abruptly left my house because I was on the phone with court---I am an attorney and have to work from home. I've never had a plumber even need to speak with me---they usually just do their thing. He was so unprofessional. The plumber showed up at my house. I let him in and let him know that I was on phone court. I am an attorney and had court over the phone. Obviously, when the judge calls my case, I will be briefly indisposed. He went to my bathroom. I stepped outside when the judge called my client's case to get better service. I also had my dogs out back. The plumber opens my back door (doesnt even check to see if my dogs are friendly---luckily they are) while I am on the phone with a judge. My dogs then go bezerk AS the judge is talking to ME. I tell him that I can't talk right now I am in court. He then just leaves my house. I called the company and they were extremely rude and disrespectful. Their explanation for why he left was that I told him to leave----this is completely untrue. Why would I tell a plumber to leave when I need one?? They then tried to get sympathy by telling me the plumber is risking their life during COVID-19. I am completely aware of the fact that they are risking their lives to do their job---but this has nothing to do with why the plumber abruptly left my house. If he would have waited 2 minutes, I would have been done with the phone call. Even if he felt a reason to leave---which I think he was just being rude and impatient---the company should have apologized and told me when he would be out again. They tried to blame me and took no responsibility.

Crooks! Tried to upsell my 85 year old mother with unnecessary add on services. Did not show up wearing a mask. Tech and service manager were rude and insulting. Terrible experience!

Keenan plumbing sent a plumber out who diagnosed my hot water heater as leaking and left without turning water off or emptying tank. The results were a flooded basement. The owner is non responsive and would not try and intervein in the matter. Could not get a resolution.

I recently had a terrible experience with Keenan’s Plbg & Htg. What should have been a minor vent repair on my boiler turned into a major 11-day ordeal that, in my opinion, resulted in substantial and unnecessary inconvenience and expense to me. Upon questioning what I had been billed, I was treated very poorly. In my opinion, they were rude, dishonest, and very unprofessional. I regret my decision to do business with Keenan’s Plbg & Htg. I will NEVER do business with them again.

Call and scheduling went fine. Service person communication and returned calls were where it started to fall apart. He unclogged the issue and let the tenant know another part needed to be replaced. He was supposed to call me once done and give me an overview of the issue and what else might need to be addressed. Never heard from him. Called the office the day after service and on the following Monday. I was hoping to get a report of what was done as well as what issue he had told the tenant. The office said it would be in his report later in the week. Never head from them to let me know what was in the report. So I called again on that Friday to see if I could get the information from them or if he could give me a call. After 3 weeks of me calling and talking to several office staff, I asked to talk to the manager. Had to call again a week later and request some form of communication. Ultimately, never heard from him/her either. The office only suggested I pay for another service call to have them check it out again. Why would I pay again for them to tell me something I already paid to have discovered. They had no response. Just encouraged me to schedule another appointment. As a property manager, I cannot just spend my clients money without reason. If they had just followed through on communication they would not be receiving this bad review. The fact that the communication chain completely fell apart with the service person is one thing but to have called once a week for over a month and never hear from their manager means their company is being poorly managed. Will not use their services again.

As I said, the guy did an excellent job.  It's the people in the office and their record keeping that I have a problem with.  Be sure to keep your receipt handy to prove you had work done there.

After being away from the home for a work trip, I returned to a home on a Saturday afternoon with no heat and with cold weather and snow approaching.  The inside temp of the home was approx 50 degrees F.  I called Keenan's and they sent a mechanic up from Montrose right away.  He was able to diagnose the problem as a bad ignitor for our forced-air heater, but unfortunately he did not have a replacement in his truck that would fit.  He lit the furnace manually to allow the home to heat, with us both knowing that once the temp reached the thermostat setting it would be off for good again until he could return with the part.  He set out a plan for searching for the part over the rest of the weekend, and checked to be sure I had alternate heat for when the thermostat would shut the heat off again.  I had a couple electric heaters I could use, so we both felt I would be OK if they could secure a replacement ignitor within a day or so.  Monday morning we connected again and they were able to secure a part that would work.  They drove back up, dropped in the new ignitor, showing me how to do it myself in an emergency should it happen again - and recommended that we get a back-up ignitor or two in reserve to keep at the house since it was not a standard size.  The service mechanics and the staff at the office were all understanding, empathetic and professional.

My sump pump went out - my handyman and I diagnosed this basement water issue first.  The plumber came out about 2.5 hours after the scheduled time (arrived at 5 PM on a Friday night).  Very nice plumber - but tired.  Did a quick fix on the pump that was to get me out a few days/weeks, until pump could be replaced.  He told me the pump would probably be about $200 plus $200 install - to count about $500 total. He said they would call with a price estimate on Monday.
The fix did not hold up for even one small washer load - basement got pretty wet, again, by the following day.  I called Monday to say I didn't think I should be charged the $100 house call under the circumstances, and I wanted that figured into the pump estimate.
I didn't hear back that day, but called the following day and was given an estimate of close to $900.00 for the pump and install.  After asking why the price difference, I was told the pump itself was about ~$400-500 and another ~$300 for the install.  I was told this was a reduced price because of the issues with the repeat flooding.  I was told they could replace it in another 2-3 days.
At that point, I called a friend in the property mgt business and got a referral to one of their maintenance people (also a licensed plumber).  He replaced the pump with an identical new pump (cost of the pump $150) and charged another $75 for the instillation - same day service.
I advise people to question a $500 cost for the sump pump itself. Look at Home Depot online, etc, for average prices.  Do your research if a quote seems high!  (I would give the plumber a B for professionalism but the management a D, therefore, I settled on a C.)  Perhaps they were just busy and understaffed.  It did not make for repeat business.

Decent service .... but cost was very high. Charged almost double the retail cost of zone valve ... called and negotiated a discount, but it really seemed like price gouging. I prefer to work with businesses that give you fair prices all of the time.
