Elite Broadband

Between myself and my girlfriend we have been with elite broadband for several years. We are moving to durango on the 1st of the month and our internet is billed on the 18th. After having paid for 10mbps and actually only getting 3mbps and dealing with outages multiple times a month or when the wind blows out of the west for years without complaint, we were hoping to get a credit for the 15 days we wouldn't be using. Not only did they refuse to credit us a mere $25 for the unused portion, SYLVIA became upset and hung up on me because she doesn't know the meaning of customer service. If you want to overpay for terribly spotty and slow internet and deal with a company that has the worst customer service I've ever dealt with, these are your people. $50 for 3mbps of spotty internet at the end user and no understanding of how to treat or maintain customers. Additionally, if you work from home or use your internet for entertainment, DO NOT use elite broadband. I think the only reason they are still in business is because in some places they are the ONLY option.

When i signed up for service years ago it ran flawlessly for the first two weeks, then it was obviously throttled down to 1/10th of the speed I was paying for. I spent countless hours on the phone with customer service trying to get them to fix it. Any time I could get someone to come out to work on it it would run perfectly for approximately an hour after the person left and then nose dive to the same throttled garbage. Eventually I complained too much and they decided my money wasn't good enough and shut off my service. Terrible business model. The "unknown" person who gave the "A" review here is obviously one of the owners or an employee. DO NOT buy service from this company! You will NOT get what you pay for!
