It's possible that 44 trees in a hedge that were planted by Tree of Life's employees later on in 2005 were placed too deeply. I've been told this has caused their gradual demise, but other environmental problems may have contributed to these native trees' unsightly and ongoing problems. Will never know. Neighbors said they'd never seen so many trees get planted so quickly. Don't know if that matters, but I do wish Mark could've been there to supervise.
